Squeezeplay and external drives

Post by chelseagirl »

I've just upgraded to PnPIII with Squeezeplay etc and got it working fine with my Spotify account, yay.

Just one question that I've not yet been able to find an answer to. I have all my music on a network drive and can access it via the PLug and Play, but that's a bit of a faff really and it would be good to get to it via Squeezeplay - but when I log in via my PC it only shows me folders on the Joggler. is there any way to search externally to find other files on the network?

You are probbaly going to have to manually mount your network share via the command line. You might want to try searching this forum for key words like "samba", "cifs" and "mount".

Edit: actually in the web intrface ->> server settings -->> advanced ->> network can you enable upnp client?.

Yes, just enabled upnp client and it shows up as active in the plugin list - but I cant see any way of accessing it via the joggler squeezeplayer menu.

Also having problems with it switching between mysqueezebox.com and atom - so sometimes the Spotify plugin won't work - I've deleted the default one and added the Triode one, with my settings, but the default still shows as well and at various times neither of them will play!
