stalls on testing internet connectivity

Post by jishami »

I just plugged in my joggler after moving it from one desk to another and there is a problem with internet connectivity both wireless and wired - it finds an IP address and the other PC on the network but cannot access the internet. it seems to get stuck on the "applying network setting" and testing internet connectivity

thanks for your help

the joggler is being assigned an Ip address through DHCP but cannot get access to internet.

I have mobile phones, tablets, laptops all accessing through the same gateway same password etc but for some reason the joggler is blocked and keeps applying network settings and trying to test internet connectivity and then just stalls......

I have rebooted the router, I have checked the IP address

Interestingly enough I cannot ping it from my computer "host unreachable"

try booting into an alternative os like xubuntu, and see if that works - if it does, we can maybe reflash your internal os, or if it doesnt we can maybe diagnose the fault better.

I had that problem .. seems jogglers can come with different internal usb wireless.... I tried a number or RALINK USB wireless drivers... also WZC doesn't work... but the RALKINK software does... or did for me..

Do you not just want to stick with the clock :)
No ?
You will need Roobarbs' reflashing tool from here

http://birdslikewires.co.uk/articles/jogglerflash

When you follow do the reflash if it seems to be taking a while don,t panic just leave well alone until it does its' stuff ;
my first reflash took about 25 minutes ! ( crappy usb stick )

Good Luck
Happy Joggling
