Joggler mmcblk0 partitions

Post by mickchip »

I just resized my media partition (mmcblk0p4) to 600+ mb and it stil boots the o2 software.
Here's how
1. loaded ubuntu off a stick,
2. started gparted,
3. deleted partition 3 (mmcblk0p3),
4. made a new partition 5mb fat 16
5. resized partition 4 to fill the empty space

lst reboot, took a while, but after that back to normal, I can now fit loads more media on it.

From memory, it looked like some of the partitions are duplicated. Is it there for the factory reset option?

The second system partition is supposed to be used when there's a fault with the first; it's written into the startup scripts and boot files, so if you get some odd behaviour in the future, that may be the cause.

Having said that, I have never seen a Joggler successfully switch partitions and use the backup. Ever.
