It is beyond my skills but it would be greatly appreciated if someone could get it going for tinkering purposes .

Well this is a bit of a bust, I can install firefox but can't get it to run.Man in a van wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 12:21 pm Hi Gary
I have installed xorg (I don't know if that was necessary) and then installed xfce4.

@Hawsey
Gary I have had another go at installing Lubuntu-core. It take well over an hour and then fails with:

I think there is enough space but anyway have expanded the partition using gparted.
I put the stick back into a hub connected to the joggler and restarted.
Got a desktop and was able to log on.
The touchscreen works but I could not use it in a terminal (I have installed florence).
I have tried a terminal on the jogger with
and get the same message as above.Code: Select all
sudo apt-get -f install
The web browser does not work, I get an Error message saying that it is an invalid file entry.
I'm sorry but I'm getting near the end of my ability to get this working (and, quite honestly, it does take up a lot of time).
Maybe you can try the update route as evidenced by Pete?
I'll keep trying every now and then but can't promise any success.
