Squeezebox Server for Windows being upgraded
Squeezebox Server for Windows being upgraded
Just a quick heads up that Squeezebox Server for Windows has been upgraded to Logitech Media Server. It can apparently handle video & jpg files for the next generation of Logitech hardware (not Squeezeboxes!). The Logitech forums report that some people have found it a bit buggy to install & use. I, for one, will be sticking with Squeezebox Server 7.6.1 meantime.
Re: Squeezebox Server for Windows being upgraded
The server version for all operating systems has been updated. Where have you heard the 'no more Squeezeboxes' information from? Logitech Media Server would appear to just be Squeezebox Server 7.7 with a marketing name change. Oops, sorry, another marketing name change.

Oops! Yes, re-read that and it makes sense. Obviously 11pm is too late for my brain these days.

Photos work on mine.
When I updated the server, an "Extras" option appeared on my SqueezePlay Menu.
On the server software under basic settings, you can specify additional media directories for videos and pictures.
