Dead Joggler - really dead!

Post by offbeatdave »

Question out of curiosity here...

I've just acquired a broken Joggler for the spare screen (which has cured an annoying 'dead' spot on an existing Joggler). Out of curiosity I tried to boot the broken Joggler. There was no splash screen but it does have power to the main board (green led lit) and the wireless (green led lit). However, there are two flashing red lights near the EFI chip. The EFI chip appears to work as I have had it another Joggler which fired up fine! I have also swapped the EFI chip for one out of another Joggler and the same red lights flash.

As I say, I'm not expecting a cure as I've had the screen from it and therefore my money's worth already but I just wondered what the two flashing lights signify and what is actually broken on the donor machine! Any thoughts?

Sorry! In the end I robbed it for a replacement screen for another Joggler in the house!

I have one with exactly the same symptoms. I also, like you, have one with a dead spot on the touchscreen.

I'd love to know if it's repairable, but there is a very strong likelihood that I'll do the same thing and just swap the screens. :)
