I'm wondering if Plop boot manager could be useful for trying out various distros on the Joggler, but without having to hack the Efi boot loader?

Plop can add support for USB/CDROM/Network boot in hardware that doesn't support it! You can load Plop from pretty much any method you can think of and install it in different places. There are even instructions for creating a bios flash image to add support for Plop (not recommended for Joggler)!!
The tricky bit will only be getting Plop to load on the Joggler, although there is binary support so it can be invoked from a command line...
Main thing I see it be useful for is to dual boot the Joggler, and possibly boot any Linux (or other??) OS it finds. Just don't yet know if it really can work on a Joggler as it doesn't use standard bios...

Re: Plop boot manager
I got "error: unknown command 'linux16'. Is this grub iteration incapable of booting .bin files?
