It should be no trouble at all running this internally simply;

Get it all setup on your USB and test it works, use the easy USB package provided by mijju.
Use an Ubuntu stick on your joggler to mount /mnt/mmcblk0p1 and copy all but the sdcard.img and data.img files to that mount point.
Use gparted to repartition mmcblk0p2,3 & 4 into 1 ext partition and 1 fat partition.
Modify the grub.cfg to point data and sdcard at something like /dev/block/mmcblk0p2 & 3

That's the theory anyway :-)
Oh and it should go without saying... don't do that unless you're comfortable recovering, since you could brick your device..

Sorry if I'm being a bit dim, but how do you get this on to a USB stick?
I was expecting 1 img file but there are several in the "Easy to use package USB".

Does not work for me, tried both ways.
1. repartitioned for Android, data and sdcard did not work failed at detecting android
2. single fat32 partition with Android, data.img and sdcard.img same failed at detecting android

PS while detecting android if I inserted the stick with it on it would detect and run it

By the way Andriod folder will not fit on mmcblk0p1 has to be resized

Been playing around with the alpha version and must say it really is a great improvement over 2.2.2.

For those who downloaded a couple of days ago, you should re-download today as a fixed version has been updated, which takes care of the SD card mounting problem.

Many programs which couldnt even be installed before, now seem to install atleast (tunein radio pro for one), but stability is not yet there.

I've managed to install the original market (1.82) and it works, altough it is set for the chinese market, and at best works very patchy at the moment.
Upgrading to 3.4.4 is not yet possible, as there seems to be rights issues for the /system folder which Root explorer is not yet able to change.
Once installed I had to reboot the device first to be able to log into my account to gain access.

Another issue at the moment is that its not possible to give permission to Gmail, latitude etc. without the market/framework crashing, something which will probably be fixed soon.

Titanium backup reports root access, but its seems some things are still locked. Upgrading busybox to 1.19.3 didnt really help here either.

However already this is a solid build (further I ever managed to get it done!) and really looking promising

Excellent release. Does anyone know if it's possible to stop the screen dimming after a few minutes?

I've got Mijuu's 4.0.3 running, but I can't figure out how to change the language settings to from Chinese to English. Feeling my way around the settings, I've connected to my WIFI and set the time/date/GMT settings, but that's it, really. Help!! :)

EDIT: Found it!!! about 30 seconds after I posted. For anyone else struggling, go into settings (icon is a square with sliders on it), scroll down the left side and click on the icon with a capital A on it. Click the very top option.

Hi, which gapps do you use for this build? I've tried the 20111228 and 20121222 and those don't seem to work. goo.inside.me seem to be down too which doesn't help.

<edit> by work I mean the market is broken, some other parts work.

This is only the second android build I've tried and it's looking like being my new bedside clock once it's complete. Very nice.

Excellent work , this is looking great now Miju must be well pleased .
A couple of things i noticed and am just wondering how people got these to work .
My settings don't save ie wireless /language and have to be put in each time I boot :-(
I got the latest build but no sd card detected keeps showing up so saving say a photograph cannot be done .
What I can say is that the browser is lightening fast , uncanny really ,just messing at the mo but very impressive so far .

Hi all. I've been trying to get ICS to work, but I think I must be doing something stupid as its not working.

I've downloaded both the "Easy_to_use_package_Usbdisk(ICS).zip" and the "ICS_Joggler_4.0.3_Alpha.zip" files from the mporting website. From what I've read in this thread, all I need to do is extract the zip file to a FAT32 formatted USB stick and I should be right to go. Which is the correct file to extract? I have tried both files, but still can't get it to boot.

If someone could offer some advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I wasn't able to boot on a O2 Joggler that has it's internal flash wiped. The USB stick just flickered a few times and then nothing.

I WAS able to boot it on an Open Peak Joggler with untouched internal flash. Booted fine and has been running for a day or so.

I don't know if the internal flash is a problem (easy to reflash that) or the model of Joggler. I have a bunch of these things to try things on, but I never investigated beyond that.

Thanks for the reply. Which file do I need to unzip to the USB stick? "Easy_to_use_package_Usbdisk(ICS).zip" or "ICS_Joggler_4.0.3_Alpha.zip"? Or do I unzip both? If it is both, from which zip should I take the "grub.cfg" from (as both zip files have a grub.cfg in their root directories) ?

I have used just the ICS_Joggler_4.0.3_Alpha.zip files. As others have said, it doesn't save settings and defaults to a different language but certainly looks promising so far.

As jonnygal says use ics joggler 4.0.3 .First format your stick with fat32 then extract all files to the disc ,plug it in to the joggler and boot up , should be good to go :D
