Just reflashed to v3.039 - no Gmail app and now lost alarm icon. Thoughts?

Yeah, it's last as I haven't had a chance to pop it in a different location by default. It is only a shortcut too. Just saves a couple of presses.
Edit: Just made tweak so current download should pop it nearer the front/top.

Had to reflash my Joggler back to original state? Gmail icon now installed and alarm icon back again? As a result would prefer to update via Telent, but wont access using username 'root', still asks for password, but doesn't allow me to enter text. Same with 'letmein' as a username. Thoughts

roobarb's.
root is only the Telnet username for Jogglers reflashed with the OpenPeak debranding flasher.
Telneting in and using the name
letmein (no spaces) shouldn't ask for a password on a non-updated Joggler.
You could also try
letmeinssh with the password
joggler1234 Nothing does appear when you type a password into a Telnet login.

@offbeatdave
Congratulations on a great job revitalising the Joggler,
Is there any chance, (now that we have a hotmail and a gmail icon),
of getting a yahoo mail icon?
Thanks again for all your hard work

Thanks overbeatdave, the former options seems to connect! Just need something to test it!
Add a shortcut to Yahoo Mail to your PnP'ed Joggler

If you fancy a shortcut to get you into your Yahoo Mail account (via Opera), telnet in and enter the following:
Code: Select all
wget http://dl.dropbox.com/u/77534245/installyahoomail.sh
sh ./installyahoomail.sh
rm -r ./installyahoomail.sh
It'll be incorporated in the next release of PnP III by default if I do one. Then you can move/remove any of the links to the various webmails if you wish.

UPDATE --- After trying to add the uPnP application to my previously pimped O2 kitchen Joggler, it refused to boot. What the heck! I reflashed to the new OpenPeak OS and then added PnPIII. The strange thing is that uPnP works and will play video on this Joggler. On my previously pimped OpenPeak living room Joggler, it won't stream video from my NAS; I get a flash frame and then it stops.
I've reflashed the problematic Joggler and re-pimped it but it still won't stream video. I'm not sure why one Joggler will stream video and another won't. Any suggestions?
(Apologies for the narcissistic self-quote)

I'm afraid that this is one I can't help with as I've never used the uPnP functionality. "That's rather weird behaviour" is the only thing I have to offer! I'm sure someone will be able to offer something more constructive though!

Thank you for this job, with great pleasure that I use on joggler. I wanted to ask if it is possible to start squeezeplay at power joggler.
Thanks

If you've PnP'd then I've built in the capability to do this. Telnet in and use this:
Code: Select all
#Make Joggler Squeezeplay only
cd /media/opt/squeezeplay/share/jive/jive
mv JiveMain.lua JiveMain.customlua
mv /media/archives/JiveMain.luaorig /media/opt/squeezeplay/share/jive/jive/JiveMain.lua
chmod a+x JiveMain.lua
cd /openpeak/tango
mv run run_bootjoggler
mv run_squeezeplay run
chmod a+x run
/sbin/reboot
To restore normal PnP functionality, Telnet in and use:
Code: Select all
#Restore normal PnP III
cd /media/opt/squeezeplay/share/jive/jive
mv JiveMain.lua JiveMain.luaorig
mv JiveMain.customlua JiveMain.lua
chmod a+x JiveMain.lua
cd /openpeak/tango
mv run run_squeezeplay
mv run_bootjoggler run
chmod a+x run
/sbin/reboot
Make sure you can reflash and start again in case I've got anything wrong!

Loving PnPIII at the mo, just got hold of my 2nd Joggler and installed it last night. The only niggly thing for me is the Tools/Games folders which are there. I haven't got any tools or games installed, so is there any way of getting rid of these? They don't appear in my applications.xml, I've renamed the icon.swf so there's no longer an icon but editing the language.xml doesn't do anything to the text. Luckily I have 15 icons I use on the home screen so they sit on their own on page 2, but ideally I'd like to get rid of them, as well as the "next" bar on the right of the screen. It might not sound like a big deal but my OCD doesn't like them there! Hope someone can help, cheers.

Sorry, if your on the original 'blue' o2 software, you can't get rid of them.

Hello. Having previously successfully reflashed my joggler, I have now also successfully updated to the new openpeak firmware. Hurrah. While on a roll thought I would finally go for PnP but it didn't work. I've done something wrong.... I have downloaded and unzipped the file to my pc. Then instructions say copy to a usb - which I did. Should I have written it to a usb with the win32diskimager rather than copy? Also, I don't know what 'telnet' means. Please don't tell me I have to hook it to my PC (I really can't). Thanks in advance.
