Would that make a difference, as I thought there were issues with Telnet post the update!

I've got it back to the original state, and it now allows me to Telnet in via my IP address. However, it only allows me to enter username; letmein, but not password, as it wont let me enter in the password via the computer keys. Any thoughts as I'm trying to upgrade to PnPIII. Thanks

When you type the password in telnet it doesn't display anything.
EDIT: Oops. Wrote time instead of type. Watching Monaco qualifying whist typing!

Yes, that's right. It doesn't allow me to type in anything?

Sorry, that was a statement, not a question! Even though nothing is being displayed, the password is still being entered.

The new username is 'root' not 'letmein'.

'letmein' and not 'root' give me access!

Oh, reading back it seems you're running PnP III on the original o2 software so yes, letmein is the telnet login. Sorry.

Forgive my naivety if this is a dumb request, but any chance of a simple firewall for PnPIII so I can keep OpenPeak out of my Joggler and stop them trashing it again?
Thanks in advance.

I might just be being naive, but thought i'd ask
I've managed to work out how to use Notepad++ to remove all the unwanted games from the new PnP III updated, but was wondering if there's anyway to get rid of apps like sky news, sky sport etc. which i think were standard from the original O2 software.
Thanks in advance

Are you running PnP III on the original o2 system or the updated OpenPeak system?

Just a heads-up to say that v3.034 is now available from the first post.
It's not worth re-installing if you're running a recent version to be honest as it just removes the Sky News app (which no longer updates) and incorporates roobarb's most recent squeezeplay (which is update-able in existing versions anyway).

Erm it crashed out on me last night, so have had to reset it via the birdslikewires site, so it's currently on the old O2 system. Hoping it'll update itself to the new O2 system, as I like the way the PnP III looks on the new system (oddly, there is a difference!), then I'll reload PnP onto my Joggler.
But a guide for either would be nice - i'm sure i'm not the only one who doesn't like sports

I've worked out how to use Notepad++ to remove all the games, I just couldn't see where the sky sports etc. was in the scripts - might just be me being a typical blond as usual!

On the pre-update o2 version, there isn't a reference to the Sky Sports app in the pnp3o2.shx script as it on the machine by default. You could edit the o2-applications.xml file in the o2applicationstweak.tar archive to remove the line referring to the Sky Sports app. You could also edit this file after installation where you'll find it located in the /openpeak/gui directory.
On the post-update OpenPeak version the reference to the Sky Sports app is under the section titled #ADD SKY SPORTS NEWS (MAY ONLY WORK TEMPORARILY) in the pnp3op.sh script
