PNPIII - trying to get NAS mounted for LMS - SUCCESS!!
Re: New to Joggler. best option?? how to do that?? n00b here
I just can't get it to work. I made the Joggler administrator on the NAS but still I can't mount the share.
Either the weel keeps turning or if I don't fill in user and passw then it says its mounted, but in Logitech Server I can't see any files once I pointed it to media1... I don't get what could be wrong?
In SWF Launcher I try to restart Logitech Media Server but how do I run a script?? I touched it, kept my finger on it for seconds, chose the x behind it but then lost the commandline... How do i do it or do I just have a weird installation?

Just pressing it runs the script. It won't show anything happening but it will be in the background. The x deletes it I'm afraid. This feature was built into the app by the original autfgor. Sorry!
"EVERY DAY I'M JOGGLERING!"
Jogglering since Dec '09;
Tinkering with Jogglers since Feb '10 thanks to PMJ, Jogtools, PnP & sqpOS;
Gave something back Feb '12 to Apr '14 with PnP Mk II & PnP III;
Finally 'completed' PnP III Apr '15!

hm looked like I was one step closer; instead of naming IP-address I named the name of the server and then it said (including user and passw)
Ik was ok.
But no.. Server can't find my musicsystem..
Grr getting a bit frustrated here..

I think you might have a better chance of getting things working if you switch to the Squeezeplay OS route. Unless you really want all the other Joggler stuff, then SqPos is the way to go.

tried that as well but got stuck on a mysqueezebox account.. The reflashed PNP3. Mostly because it has indeed some apps which might be useful to our family..
Have been trying some things and LMS sits now 'scanning my files (but in Dutch then lol)
It sits like that for an hour already, dunno if that's all right but if it takes long I leave it on all night..
Fingers crossed.......

How many files do you have? A scan shouldn't take long if you have a reasonable number.
Another issue is that you probably have installed LMS 7.7.2 - the later versions (7.8) have a lot of fixes, including a quicker scan!
Using SpQos is a bit more complicated to set up with an optimal system - but then if you need the other apps then you'll probably not be too bothered.

well left it on this night, but now its still scanning so I'm fearing it doesn't work.. it does however recognize my system so that is one step closer..
Re: New to Joggler. best option?? how to do that?? n00b here
I stopped the scan after 13 hours and nothing found... Media Server is 7.8 I discovered.
How EXACTLY should I name the share? Just 'Muziek' or //servername\Muziek??

Re: New to Joggler. best option?? how to do that?? n00b here
From the PnP quick guide, it looks pretty straightforward - just enter the NAS name and the NAS folder without any slashes. You have to hit Add data button.
You then need to set the folder in LMS - looks like /media/media is the path to look at.
I haven't set up PnP so I can't easily see what the results are.
You can login to the Joggler using PuTTY - user joggler password joggler. Then type: dir /media/media
You should see the mounted folder there.

I won't succeed... I'll look into putty then.. A program to install on my laptop so I can acces Joggler right?
Re: New to Joggler. best option?? how to do that?? n00b here
PuTTY - http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgta ... nload.html
This will let you login to the joggler - you'll see a command line prompt. Just type: dir /media/media
Note what is returned - post results here.

Your NAS is not a mac mini, is it?
Re: New to Joggler. best option?? how to do that?? n00b here
In PuTTY, just enter the NAS IP address - then click on Open
It will then ask for username - joggler
Then password - joggler
You should be logged in.
Exit by simply closing PuTTY.

Re: New to Joggler. best option?? how to do that?? n00b here
yesterday I didn't have time anymore to joggle..
No my NAS is a Seagate Blackarmor 110 2TB. Its usage (photo, film, audio ) is around 25% of that. How long should that LMS take to load??
I'm looking into PuTTY now.. Will get back once I have results..

I've been trying to find info on your NAS. Seems rather complicated.
But:
Can you try the following as the location:
DataVolume/Muziek
or if that doesn't work
/DataVolume/Muziek
edit: I think you should also hit the remove share button before trying a new location

Re: New to Joggler. best option?? how to do that?? n00b here
you're sure about that?
Re: New to Joggler. best option?? how to do that?? n00b here
Hmmm ... clear as mud!
Try Public/Muziek
Unless we can discover the exact file location, then it's never going to work
Can you access the shares using File Explorer?

Yes (not at the moment now@work), but accessing via Windows Explorer works fine.
Downloaded PuTTY, will give it a go when I'm home.

Okay - when you access via Explorer, then you should be able to determine the exact directory/folder location - select the folder and hit right click - properties
