Win 8.1 on joggler
Re: Win 8.1 on joggler
Think pete's covered this, but the reflash tool will restore everything bar the EFI ROM flash. I need to update it really, so that it's got the ability to write to the EFI chip, but I remember that the module wouldn't compile for me for some reason. Probably doing something daft.

Roobarb, Pete,
Thanks for the quick response.
Before kicking off my project, I still wonder:
- How can I make an inage of the Joggler original ROM?
- That would be next to my bonus question from my former reply: How to get an image from the "original" start machine.
(Hope you guys appreciate that I will want to go back to original state)
Mickchip,
I would like to contribute to this forum. I would want to move to a relatively stable state of a system that either reflects your system of Februari 14th, or go to your system of April 14th, relatively fast.
On Februari 14th you informed us that you run windows 8.1 using a 16GB SSD usb stick in the internal port.
- Is that the port that originally holds the wifi device, or is that one you soldered on additionally?
- Would it also be possible to use it on the external port?
- Is the jogglerwin.img still available
On April 14th you informed us that you run windows 8.1 using a core booted joggler with CLOVER on a 1gb stick and Win8.1 to go uefi version on a 40gb usb hard disk.
What ports did you use for those 2? They both are USB, right?
Thanks for the quick response.

Boot up via a buzzubuntu USB stick and DD the MMC to a second USB stick. How can I make an image of the Joggler original ROM?

You wouldn't utilize the MMC in a Windows 8.1 build such that it would remain in place untouched.

Interestingly, on my install Ethernet is not operational and my wifi worked natively.mickchip wrote:yep, coreboot & seabios v0.6. Ethernet uses 8.1s own driver, wifi & audio are from the Mevi's XP. Speed is OK but I havn't tested much software as yet.
