Doods music streamer works fine on that
Here's to Mijuu's next build can't believe how much progress he's made on this one allredy ..
For anyone wanting a stableish build of android the fixed 1.2.3 is still the one to go for ..
Hapy Joggling
Ooops I sound a bit ungreatfull here Jazz sorry didn't mean to be .
What I meant to say was that this build is ICS Mijuu work in progress for testing purposes , hopefully there will be another one along sometime soon ready for Jazz or another clever bod to work his magic on

Hi. I managed to get this to install. On average it takes me 2-3 tries to get the image to initially boot off the USB stick. However if I have to reboot the joggler (by reboot I mean pull the power and reinsert), it seems much harder to get the image to boot again. Probably only rebooted successfully 2 times in about 20 attempts. I think this is a problem with my joggler though, nothing to do with the new image.
Anyway, I managed to add a Google account in the account settings, but under the account settings, there was nothing to sync it to (ie no options to sync Gmail, Contacts or Calendar). Then I remembered jazzmista's first post in this thread said to download Gmail from the Market, however I couldn't find Gmail in the Market. When I went to start the existing email application, I was asked to sign in with either a "Corporate" or "Email" account.
I then tried to go into the calendar app, and I was asked to either sign in with an existing account or create a new account. I signed in with the account I added in the account settings, but was told that the account had already been registered on the system.
So I guess what I'm asking here is:
1) Is there anywhere I can get a copy of the Gmail app, or should I just search the internet for it?
2) Am I doing something stupid regarding the calendar app, such that it doesn't recognise my account, or do I need to install something else to get the calendar to recognise my account?
Once again, many thanks for your help and all the hard work everyone has put into this version.

I've got the Gmail apk - I'll add that (and a few others) to the main post. They should hopefully be included in JazzMod v1.1 as system apps The default email app doesn't work for Gmail - does anyone mind if I remove that to avoid confusion? Again, I'll provide the Email.apk for people to install in v1.1.
Edit: Added to the main post.

Also, while I'm thinking about it, this is how I plan to release new versions:
When I've finished it (and tested it), I'll place a copy of the system.img (in a zip again) on some sort of download site (probably BuZz's FTP server if he doesn't mind?). That system.img can just be drag-and-dropped into the Android folder on the existing JazzMod installation, keeping all of your data (apps, downloads, Google Account logins etc. etc. intact).

Jazzmista, I installed the Gmail app and it works, thanks for making the apk available. Is the Gmail apk an older version (ie pre ICS) version of the Gmail app? The reason I ask is because I managed to register my gmail account with the native ICS email client which looks very different to the version you provided.
As for using the "updated system.img file" approach for releasing updated to your image, that sounds perfect. Thanks again for your help.

What do people think?
Sounds like a great plan , I was starting to get Android sickness due to starting again each time on other builds .
note: the incoming folder is write only, so your link in the first post won't work. has to be this way, else the ftp would be used as a warez/porn drop site by people!
i've moved the image to the link above which you can use. should be able to feed people at up to 10MB/second.

Slightly worried though as I'm running 1.2.4 and have had no issues with it...
Would advise you make a back up first or use another stick /boot device
Lots of apps not working yet that work on 1.2,4 and 3.
What it will do is give you a good feel of what ICS is like, the browser is very fast indeed .
Good luck
Hi there, Thanks for the work on ICS - lovin' the look and feel! but not relying on it yet as my main alarm clock.
Does anyone else have crackling audio (line out) or is it just me?
Also has anybody found a "shutdown" app that works yet?
