How to access EFI and NVRAM under Ubuntu

Post by roobarb! »

On the native OS, we can type modprobe fh to bring access to the EFI chip alive as /dev/fh. We can also use the nvram command to read and write NVRAM values with no troubles.

So, does anybody know what the best way to go about doing these things would be with a normal Ubuntu release?

the source for /dev/fh module might be in openpeak-O2-R3.src.tgz - i had a quick look but didn't see it.

Hmm. No, I've had a quick peek too and not spotted it. Nuts.
