As i came across this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290628742962? ... 500wt_1202

Dan,
Lol, love that ebay find :)
last night i thought i would try plugging in the wireless keyboard and mouse from my acer revo 3610 in to the joggler (think its bluetooth)as you do ...
It works fine out of the box so to speak on Ubuntu and Joli os, works fine on android also .
An old bluetooth dongle shows up on ubuntu and android but i'm not having much luck connecting, it seems to pair ok but that could be just me :?:
clueless wrote:As my new question relates to 1.2.3v2a, I hope it's OK to ask it in this thread.

Have had a rummage around the 'Net with no real success and so here's my question...

...Does anyone have any comments please on the possibility of using an external USB mouse and keyboard as I have a Logitech EX110 wireless mouse and keyboard that I would love to be able to use? The reciver plugs into a conventional USB port and is not BlueTooth.

As always, my thanks for any useful tidbits you care to share.
Don't know if I've done this right but below is a connected question from the android thread.

Hi , Mr Clueless :D I am typing this from my acer revo 3610 wireless keyboard and it works just fine on this build  see this thread

The scroll wheel works , also you can click and drag the screen around your apps to navigate or use the arrow keys ;right click takes you back nicely one screen at a time , click and hold and you get copy /paste etc , all looking good .
I would just plug your keyboard in and give it a whirl , I have a feeling it will just work fine for you , if it does , let us know ....
I don't know if this is a bluetooth keyboard, I don't think it is, they are on fleabay for 19 quid
Good Luck.

there are plenty of keyboards like that without the hub, or is that the thing you are after ? bluetooth is also an option.

This may be of use...

Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard K400 (has touchpad built in) only £7.49 (usually £30 I think) in store at Staples if you're prepared to do a little work!...

Has nano receiver too.

One of the kids has that for their bedroom PC. He's happy with it.

I have a Rii mini 240. http://www.riiminikeyboards.com/

It has a built in laser pointer for entertaining cats and blinding children. I think I have lost the receiver in the last few days. :(

Still got that laser though. :)

I've not really had much luck with the Zipad, Dan. The internal HDD might be bootable in XP with some playing with the EFI and the optical drive is not seen by Linux. Maybe I gave up too quick, but I've pulled the drive out and put it in an enclosure for testing XP, so the Zipad and it's optical drive are going spare.

just like the idea of the hdd being inside a handy "placemat" of sorts lol, and the optical should be able to be used, i cannot see why its not detected, how much do you want for it mev?

And I thought the rii keyboards where bluetooth?

I've got the, er, £45 entry level version. I can't say it's worth that money. :D

Got a laser though.

The optical drive probably works in XP on the Joggler as it works on my other machines. Probably working on the EFI will do the trick or booting off a USB stick and using the HDD for media storage or uTorrent. It behaved like my other hubs when the stick is plugged into the 'wrong' socket.

The USB hub chipset is the problem as far as Linux goes. I forget just what that was chipset is so you can look for it ahead of the postman arriving.

Is £15 inc postage fair? I got it in the last 6 months. I think I have the original box, but the original power supply is somewhere in the garage and I've been powering it with an old size Nokia charger which has been fine. I'll see if I can find that.

The optical drive is an LG. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004VDKWNM
