Hi,
i've a problem in Xubuntu 11.10.
Partly some windows are too large for the joggler.
In Ubuntu 11.10 i could scroll the screen down to the lower side of the windows
Do you have an Idea how to scroll down in Xubuntu ?

Re: Xubuntu 11.10: Scroll screen down at too large windows ?
doesn't always work.. but in e.g. settings windows... at the top right of the window there is minimise, maximise and close
minimise = _
maximise = two squares
close = x
clicking maximise often changes where some of the buttons are to make it better and/or put a scroll bar on
hope this works on what you're stuck on! there's also some options in window manager - advanced but i didnt try changing them

OK, i go again:
I've compared the following OS:
- Ubuntu 11.04
- Ubuntu 11.10
- Xubuntu 11.10
Ubuntu 11.04 is the only one, which can overlap windows to another workspace.
All other OS hides the windows on other workspaces.
You can test it -> open any window -> move it down -> change visibility workspace to workspace 2
if you can see your window -> congratulations
But i couldn't find out, where i could set the window-workspace-overlap option.
Do you have any idea ?

Re: Xubuntu 11.10: Scroll screen down at too large windows ?
you might want to run "maximus" on xubuntu - to always maximise windows, but if you upgrade florence keyboard now, you can click on the alt modifier on it, and then click on a window, and drag it (florence now supports modifiers with mouse clicks).
for doing stuff on xubuntu, i recommend a usb keyboard. you can then set stuff up how you need, and use the finger for basic stuff like launching the apps. of course depends what you want to do. you can get some very compact bluetooth keyboards also.

re: the keyboard/bluetooth
can you recommend any good/cheap amazon/ebay peripherals.. i'm talking around £3 each (after all the whole point of getting a joggler is a cheap hobby device!)
i have a 4 port usb hub but it makes my joggler extremely slow - almost unusable as it takes forever just to load up vlc to tune into a radio station for example let alone stream a tv show!
... i'm pretty sure it's usb 2.0 as i had an old usb 1.1 in the very old days.. windows 7 just calls it a generic usb hub and it's using some driver from 2006...
are any of these likely to be as fast as plugging a usb flash drive straight in?

i currently have a usb sound card too - a creative labs mp3+ it used to work great on my son's eee-pc but on xubuntu on joggler i found i couldn't change the sound output device as the options were different than with easypeasy (based on ubuntu) for eee pc... will have to play around with my usb hub and get the problems up again.

I use one of these - im not sure its any slower than plugging the stick directly in - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Trust-EasyConne ... 857&sr=1-3
I have one of these but ive not actually used it with the joggler yet - http://www.ebuyer.com/222811-xenta-micr ... wkb-1500bt
for development i use
