As the title states... if I set sound to usb with mixer I get audio through one channel only (left). Is there actually a mixer app/setting somewhere on the joggler now I should be using? The speakers are fine when plugged into my laptop.
If I choose usb soundcard (no mixer) I get the speeded-up audio problem as my usb speakers are the wrong sort, it would appear. It also only plays through the left channel, however.
Is there some way of getting both channels when using the usb soundcard/mixer setting in pnp please?
Plug n pimp, usb soundcard with mixer, left channel only?
Re: Plug n pimp, usb soundcard with mixer, left channel only
I know this might seem like an obvious question, but are you running the speakers through a USB soundcard? Most USB speakers are only USB powered, i.e. they don't receive the music signal through the USB cable. You usually need to plug a 3.5mm audio cable into the sound output, which in the case of USB sound output would be a USB soundcard something like this: http://bit.ly/t57vfi
I'm sorry if this is stating the obvious, but you don't mention the USB soundcard in your post. If you are running it through a USB soundcard and the speakers are fine on other devices, the soundcard itself may well be at fault.

Thanks gegs, we've spoken before. They're usb audio speakers with their own driver. Signal goes down the usb cable. They work fine with the joggler with alternative o/s in place! (but I can't get on with alternative o/s and just want to use squeezeplayer).

I think I'm just doomed with these USB speakers (logitech s-150) as it's only them that go wrong. If I plug in a supported usb audio stick and plug my headphones in, I get audio in both ears.

Your speakers are a bit jazzier than mine. I've got Logitech Z110s that are ideal for the kitchen because they're pretty small. They are only USB powered though and don't have their own DAC. They were quite cheap too - only a tenner from Tesco. My only complaint would be the length of cable between each speaker; I'd like better stereo separation.carled wrote:Thanks gegs, we've spoken before. They're usb audio speakers with their own driver. Yeah, but yours work! Mine were only £9 too.
