Dan, I've added the output from chkdsk for both partitions here. The program autostarted, but I think everything hung as I left it for 15 minutes . . .

I only ran it in read-only for the txt files, in fix it recovered 4 orphan files on the EFI partition and a few on the main partition.

Image

This is as far as it's going, the auto script is showing in the background then a USB Mass Storage device pops up behind the Inscribe keyboard.

Same here.

Just tried something else; too many steps though.

I extracted the files from the EFI and NTFS directories saving them to separate directories using Paritition Guru. I then went to GParted and wiped both of the partitions. I then created an EFI and NTFS partition. I then deleted the EFI partition and copied the NTFS partition files over to the newly created NTFS partition; then again to GParted I made it bootable and recreated the EFI partition. I then copied all of the files over to the EFI partition.

Booting now (with the above mentioned USB stick) I get it stopping at the "ffire.sys" piece of the boot process; so it went further just putting in the pieces of the script and DLL's above as you mentioned JP and rebooting the original image that way.

BTW the original read to check with GParted showed errors on both the EFI and NTFS partition (unfixable in Linux). I did fix the EFI parition in Windows and it created an orphaned file directory. I though though maybe this was my USB memory stick though.

Dan, thinking maybe to delete Hotfile links eh? Or would it be better to wait for more folks to give it a try?

Great news Dan!

Yes; like the compression sizes of VHD versus the IMG file.

Are you using an HDD versus a USB memory stick? I didn't think of trying the image on an HDD; just the USB memory stick was all I tried it on.

new links will be ready tonight, have now backed up entire build into a vhd file, compressed to just 617mb, unrar then write the vhd file to your ntfs partition, should be ok then, i have only been able to test on my usb micro sd and my hard drive but they both picked up all drivers fine.
