Current activity for server 2003
Trying to make it a bit more eye friendly as previous release was damn ugly lol
Also trying a Fuller fat build, as the previous build gave people headaches.

Good news Dan; I can't keep up with you; all of you "yuts" anymore; just getting too old I guess.
I am more into the function than the "eye candy"; (except for sitting on the streets in Milan during a normal business day there).

Re: Windows Server 2003 RELEASED
never too old pete.
And the eye candy is something that wont hog resources but make 2003 more finger friendly as mevi suggested, i use a mouse but if someone has to use fingers, then so be it that they should be able to with ease and comfort.

Re: Windows Server 2003 RELEASED
Also making it so its easy to get rid of, so if function over form is what you like, its easy to get back to.

Re: Windows Server 2003 RELEASED
I am learning (in my old age) to use my fingers on the Android and the HPTouchpad. Its really an age thing coming from the days before a computer had a mouse connected to it. I can talk to my house and it listens will do stuff (more than the wife even).

Re: Windows Server 2003 RELEASED
Dan, You are right about using the fingers; I don't think most foks would utilize a mouse with the Joggler anyways.
Yes ordered 3 HPTouchpads via the internet for store pickup. Went to get them the next day and the store said they didn't have any in stock. What I found out was the night before the employees bought out the remaining stock. I ended up getting one on back order from two months before. I was very lucky.

Re: Windows Server 2003 RELEASED
is everyone happy with the .vhd way of doing things? as it seems to cause less problems.

Personally it was faster to download. I am not seeing though as many comments on it; wondering if folks are having issues with using .vhd's?

Re: Windows Server 2003 RELEASED
Ok we will see if people have problems with it before I make my mind u.
Experiencing weird issues at the moment. Getting a lightning fast first boot, the joggler installs some device's and asks for a reboot, so I reboot and I get a hang on booting the second attempt, and then it stays hung no matter how many times I reboot cannot find what's causing it, any help much appreciated.
Mevi, did you experience this whilst building your images?

Re: Windows Server 2003 RELEASED
dan,
Is it hanging on a "warm" reboot on the O2 screen or are you hanging on a cold reboot without the NIC plugged in?
Here is a video of a cold boot without the NIC and a warm boot into the O2 logo without the NIC plugged in. If I cold boot without the NIC cable and wait to plug the NIC cable in a bit it will not always lock up.
This will give you an idea of the boot time.

Here's also another video of the previous XPSP3 setup via a cold boot then a warm boot. Just noticed before making the video that it had no issues starting a warm boot except I left the NIC cable in and it froze at the video screen thing. Recording video without NIC cable. On reboot played back the startup sound but took its time reloading the drivers and increasing the brightness of the screen. BTW Warm boot works pretty much 100% of the time unless I leave the network cable in.
