Rotating the screen 180 degrees on Stock OS

Post by anonyx »

Hey Guys,
Been playing with the Joggler and i've finally got it working the way i want (squeezeplayer with server reading music from usb), basically, im trying to do an incar install and everything works great, the dock, the stand, everything.
My problem is that i need to rotate the screen 180 degrees, the heatsink itself is part of the design and dock, however, the dock works with the joggler upside down, it will not fit well the normal way up.

So i need to rotate the stock rom

I'm pretty sure i need to go digging in /etc/X11/xorg.conf, and i've got SSH and telnet but i just don't no how to do it, i tried FTPGET but i'm getting permission denied which isn't helping me get past what i imagine is the first hurdle.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, i've searched the internet endlessly but nobody else has ever had to do this i don't beleive. The only other option is physically removing the front of the joggler, rotating it and sanding down the screws so it fits and then super glue (something i ideally wish to avoid)

Should this fail, would there by any way i could format a usb disk so that 4GB ran the ubuntu image and the other, say, 8GB or whatever, was available as a partition so i could put music on it, boot linux and have a drive with my music in it?

Kind Regards,
Danny

Why don't you try runing a linux distro like joli OS and rotate the screen this way, then autostart tango as the frontend? Something like in this thread:
