Thanks for the verification, Mick. I guess I need to spend more time on this.
I copied the igo folder to my pc and started it there - same error. on the PC
Bad Image would be strange as well, as I unpacked it twice and 7zip gave not errors.
Also, Win XP is running otherwise smoothly on the Joggler.
Finally, according to google, the error message "Initialization error: Loadlanguage failed." seems not uncommon for IGO - however, I did not find a fix for it on the net... Strange.

Did anybody else try it and is running IGO without isues?

Try using WinRAR to unpack it as that's what it was packed with. My version is 3.9

Found something else, Delete the 'save' folder and restart and go through configuration.

Hi Mick;
thanks for your help - but I can not get it to work... I downloaded the img again and extracted it with your winrar copy. Not luck.
However, I noticed some odd things in my install:
When I boot the 1st time from a freshly generated image, Windows starts very snappy. When I check the IGO folder on C:, it is empty!
When I cklick on the Igo Icon on the desktop, the following message occurs:
"Program Application DB can not be found"
When I start XP the 2nd time (via shutdown and power cycle), booting takes forever and finally hangs (with O2 screen showing)
After power cycle starting the 3rd time, XP starts again and - the igo folder is populated! (and XP seems to be in a different state - it starts with the file manager open?)
Starting Igo now shows the error 'Initialization error: LoadLanguage failed' (Also deleting the save folder does not fix this.)

I can reproduce this behavior on 2 Jogglers... very strange.

(Also, everything else works fine - also the included Squeezeplay runs smoothly)

But I don't want to waste your time further:
Before I go on, I will order another USB stick to try it with (currenty I use a SD to USB adapter - may be thats the culprit?)
By the way: Are you also using the outer USB port for the stick? (And the inner populated w/ WLAN card), or are you using a USB Hub?

And one last thing: I tried to copy the generated partitions to another stick and got errors: "Paragon Partition Manager" stated that there are faulty crosslinked files?

Thanks again - I hope I get it to work at some time - a Joggler in the car would be cool.

I am using a USB hub plugged in to the side on standard PNP3 jogglers.
I've always had trouble boot from sd cards, that could be the problem especially as each time it boots it's different.
I now always use ssd usb sticks, much more reliable and quicker but more expensive.

Hawsey has downloaded it, but not sure if he's tried it yet (waiting for his GPS stick)

Yep , watching the thread , I'm still awaiting the GPS stick but will report back .
Recently I've bought a actual PC ssd quite cheap http://m.ebuyer.com/749494 £34 now though :-( with an startech adapter cable
StarTech.com USB 3.0 to 2.5" SATA III Hard Drive Adapter Cable w/ UASP - SATA to USB 3.0 Converter for SSD/HDD - Hard Drive Adapter Cable https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00HJZJI84/ ... 1xb8QM2ECP
Quite expensive compared to a USB stick but the above work well .

These Lexars work well £6.75
Lexar JumpDrive S45 16 GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B012PKVE0W/ ... x_.Q.1xb74

Even with a new (borrowed) stick it does not work for me.
XP fires up, but igo not.

I will wait and see, if it is my system(s), or if someone else has similar issues.
Maybe comparing setup commonalities etc. will help to solve this.

Try this
right click on the mev_navi.img, go to 7zip and open archive. double click on the ntfs file, click the iGO_PC folder and extract to where ever & try to run from the folder you extracted.

YES!!

This worked! Thank you so much!
I used a different folder name, since I could not delete the original igo folder - at least the '3DCars' Folder was stated beeing corrupt and was not accessible.
The problem needs to be on my end, since extracting it as you suggested worked.

Now I need to quickly order one of those GPS-Dongles.

Thanks again.

I think it must be something at your end, I have now tested it on five EFI jogglers and then deleted the EFI partition, changed the joggler specific files to original and tested on two coreboot / seabios jogglers. All of them work OK.

Hi Mick. I agree, it should be on my end, but I am absolutely confused why.

Today a brand new Lexar USB3 16GB stick arrived - and it shows the same behavior
(But, using your suggestion to copy the extracted IGO folder over works. Also: Now I can delete the old IGO folder)

3 questions:
- Did you try it with different UBS drives?
- During boot sequence - before Windows environment starts, the Joggler screen is 1/3 from the top overwritten w/ black & white lines. Do you see that too?
- General Question: How do you do a right click using the touchscreen?

But, as I stated - it runs and now I await my GPS Dongle. And then I need to think about how to install it halfway decently in my little Yaris....

Again: Thank you for sharing this!!

Downloading now :-)

Its been a busy week , i meant to try this out before now but i have had a busy week .

I had my new van to sort first off , then last night a big load of thunder and lightening broke the tv adapter upstairs and fried the Sky HD box , after i decided it was beyond repair i opened it up to salvage the 500Gig drive and sure enough there was a popped chip all blown apart and full of smoke inside ; still the hdd might be good .
I just got on to Gumtree and got a £15 one , identical and its fitted now ( keeps SWSNBN happy ).

Download sitting at 1.1 gig now , its going to take a while .......

I will report back ...

Initially this will go on a standard Joggler but eventually it is destined for my SeaBios test one , is it easy to convert it to boot on Sea Bios , i know you mentioned it above but i didnt really understand :-(

Answers to your Questions

- Did you try it with different UBS drives?
Yes USB SSD stick took about 40 secs to boot, old 8gb usb stick took about 4 mins to boot, 16gb Sandisk ultrafit took about 90 secs to boot, they all worked.

- During boot sequence - before Windows environment starts, the Joggler screen is 1/3 from the top overwritten w/ black & white lines. Do you see that too?
That is normal when booting efi XP.

- General Question: How do you do a right click using the touchscreen?
Didn't even realise you couldn't right click as I've been using VNC to my desktop to do the setup, I would think it's just a setting, I will take a look when I get chance.

I got this going last night. It got me to work nicely this AM 18 mile trip.
Nice work Mickchip thanks for this .
I am very impressed with the level of detail on the satnav software, the mph was correct within 2 mph , I need a bit of a play with it to work everything out yet though
Usual issue with responsiveness but that will be down to the speed of the stick I used , I will order another :-) the ssd is chugging away on my LMS/plex joggler so couldn't use that .....

Ohhh - nice!!
I can not believe that it worked for you 'out of the box', and it doen't for me.... Can you let me know:
1) with which browser you downloaded the IMG file? (I used Win 10 & Chrome or Edge - not sure)
2) which software you used for putting it on the stick? (I used Win 10 & win32diskimager-RELEASE-0.3-r27)

P.S. I still would like to get it to work out of the box instead of re-copying IGO folder, as some things still do not work for me - i.e. I can not change the car (even not to the std. arrow) and if I rescan the car library, all cars are gone.
Also, sometimes, XP boots veeery slow (and then again fast....)
Finally, booting via USB hub does not work for me - on none of the 4 slots....
So I think, there is still something fishy in my case.

Also: The latest IMG file I downloaded has the following MD5 Hash: 434de1fd5e56afa490d26f287ab733ad - generated with win32diskimager. Do you guys get the same hash?

*UPDATE*
Its finally fixed!!!
The Problem was the old version of the win32diskimager!!! Although it gave no errors while creating the USB stick. (And I never observed issues before)
-> Now, with win32diskimager version 0.9.5, everything works - IGO starts - I can change cars, ....

Great! Thanks again to Mick!

Glad to here it's working OK, that's the same version 0.9.5 as I used to make the image.

Add this to the sys_pc.txt file to get moving arrows on each next bend on your root.
