Re: OS X Snow Leopard on the Core Booted Joggler
I have just installed to a 16gb Sandisk Ultrafit as pictured, it does boot but is very slow, definitely would be be better on an ssd drive.

Re: OS X Snow Leopard on the Core Booted Joggler
I've got the Ultrafit so will rule that out .
I might give it a go on my external HDD first

Are you near wanting to share yet your build yet ? , pretty please , pm me if you would prefer .

Re: OS X Snow Leopard on the Core Booted Joggler
I am just in the process of zipping the JogglerSL image, when its done I will test that it unzips OK and writes to a USB stick or drive and boots on the joggler.
Then I will upload to google drive and post a link in this thread, may be up later tomorrow.
I may also upload the Snow Leopard installer so that you can have a go yourselves, however I recommend you do the installing from a PC not directly on the Joggler.
Not sure how big the zip will be but the actual unzipped image is 15.55gb

Re: OS X Snow Leopard on the Core Booted Joggler
It is taking longer than I thought it would, I have created the Snow Leopard image (which is around 15gb) then zipped it.
It goes down to 4.95gb, I then unzipped the image and used win32diskimager to write it to a 16 usb stick just so I could test the image works (It does) so I am just in the process of uploading the zipped image to Google Drive.
When its uploaded I will post a link to the image and a few instructions on getting wifi working, Ethernet just works.
Link should be on here tomorrow morning.
Don't forget that this will only work on a joggler with CoreBoot/Seabios

Here we go, link to jogglerSL
Sorry not allowed to post the link
PM me if you would like the link
You will need about 20gb of space on your hard disk to download and then unzip the image.
To get wireless working go applications wireless utility and go from there
Enjoy

Re: OS X Snow Leopard on the Core Booted Joggler
Cheers for thst Mick , I put it on a 750 gig Adata External HDD and a Trust hub but it seems to be stuck on boot screen
probably down to the slow speed of the HDD)

Did you have a keyboard plugged in & press enter, it doesn't boot automatically.

Re: OS X Snow Leopard on the Core Booted Joggler
Would fat32 or NTFS make any difference ? I've just tried a 32 gig Ultra Fit but just the same , how long should first boot take ?

Re: OS X Snow Leopard on the Core Booted Joggler
What happens when you press enter, it should go to the apple logo immediately with the spinning wheel at the bottom of the screen.
If you do have a keyboard plugged in is it working.

Ha ha my silly mistake I'm just waiting for it to boot , not at home now , will report back later

Re: OS X Snow Leopard on the Core Booted Joggler
With the Adata HDD it started to boot then crashed out , tried various combos of hubs / keyboards etc .
More success with the Ultra fit 32gig and a full size keyboard , seems to boot fine , right through to desktop then immediately crashes with this screen.

Re: OS X Snow Leopard on the Core Booted Joggler
Try this
when you get the picture of the disk drive on the screen just type "-v -f -x" without the quotes and press enter
you will get loads of text scrolling and it will either boot to the desktop or crash again.

Great stuff, have you managed to get wifi working.
If not go to Applications, Ralink Wireless Utility, wireless utility. It will find your wifi double click your router then put in your key.
The time will be set correctly a couple of minutes after you are connected to the internet.

Re: OS X Snow Leopard on the Core Booted Joggler
I have mine running off the 16gb Sandisk Ultrafit at the moment, it's been on around 4hrs and no problems yet.
It is slower than the SSD sticks but it does work OK.
Might do another core boot joggler and see if the image boots on that.
Next project is to get it to work on a standard joggler.
