It is an addiction here brought to me from this forum. Well it was Adam that started me. Not sure if he hangs around here anymore.

Yeah here kids have moved away now having started their own families. It is only the wife, parrot and I (and a bunch of Jogglers). The wife gets along with the Jogglers but not the parrot. Kika (she) is jealous of my wife.

Kika is always cussing at her and wife is always cussing at the parrot.

There is plenty of room here for you and your family hawsey. Mi Casa is Su Casa.

I will include in your new casa purchase the Jogglers (1,2 and 3 to a room - now covering some toilet rooms) and adopt your family in spirit if that convinces you to move here to the US. We need to find something a bit smaller for just us.

Personally here like the look of the OpenPeak 2 device better than the smaller Openpeak device. That said it is also easier to remove the table bracket on it and just hang it on a wall.

Pity we couldn't get the price down for a bulk purchase ....

The standard Joggler power supply works. The supplied cable is a weird 3-pin US one - but I think a standard PC power cable/kettle cable will fit

Don't be tempted to run the device 'natively' - there's a suspicion that on first use it may call home and get an 'update' which knocks out the usb boot.

Thanks for the info.

I had been thinking, first roobarb's Openpeak or straight into squeezeplay.

which did you do?

Straight into Roobarb's SqpOS - just swapped the usb out of a Joggler. Powered up - 30 secs. max and LMS up and running without a hitch. Nothing to do ... wifi, etc. all transparent. Haven't tried the onboard audio yet.

So impressed that if Boy George hadn't recently buggered up the strength of Sterling that I'd be tempted to get another one before they're all gone.

What a shame that Openpeak stopped making these. With Phillipe's new Castbridge and UPnPBridge plugins the squeezebox goes from strength to strength - I've got Sonos speakers, a Pioneer wifi speaker and a Pure internet radio all running as squeezeboxes. Absolutely brilliant.
