Six Music

Post by felix wankel »

Hi
Now on my second joggler, first one lasted at least 3 years constantly on.

I only use it for one function and thats as a wifi radio to listen to Six Music. Understandably this recently stopped. I've installed pnpIII, but I can't get 6M on radio or squeezeplay or bbc ipayer or opera. Can anyone help otherwise I'm going to have to buy a dedicated wifi radio and quite frankly I don't want to do that as I love my joggler.

What were you using to play 6Music before? If it was SqueezePlay and you were running the Logtech Media Server, this thread may help you.

Otherwise, I'm sure there'll be a way of making it work.

You have a few choices,

do a bit of work: read this post from about halfway down the page. Edit:This is the FIRST option

http://www.jogglerwiki.com/forum/viewto ... &start=260

Buy an internet radio, but only one manufacturer actually supports the new BBC streams (another might, but there have been recent changes).

Play 6Musix from a web browser.

Listen instead to Radio Paradise.

Buy a raspberry pi2 and install LMS and a squeezelite player (a lot more work)

look over on the slimdevices forum for lots of info on how to do things.

If you were me I would do the first :D ;) :ugeek:

Marvellous. Unless you buy a hackable internet radio... that might be fun. ;)

Would this work on PnPIII?

Might not be needed.

I have a Joggler with external USB Squeezeplay OS.

I just added these two additions to the repositories in the LMS settings webgui and ffmpeg wasn't needed.

http://triodeplugins.googlecode.com/svn ... strepo.xml

It is necessary to edit the settings on the Triode plugin

Why not try it?
