Logitech Media Server Install Issue on SqOS

Post by wcndave »

I have installed one joggler with squeezeOS on USB drive fine and documented everything.

However when i install logitech media server it says in the installation log:

dpkg: error processing /tmp/logitechmediaserver_7.7.3_all.deb (--install):
cannot access archive: no such file of directory

I had not problems with my other joggler, any ideas?

Is this using the install LMS option included in SqPOS?

Didn't we have a long conversation about manually installing 7.8 while my daughter was in hospital?

If that was you I'm thinking of then the same process could be used to install 7.7.3 manually.

Get 7.7.3 from here http://downloads.slimdevices.com/Logite ... er_v7.7.3/

basically I installed from the screen, and then you showed me how to do an update.

now installing from screen does not work! seems it cannot find the file online, thought people might be interested.

It might depend where Roobarb has it set to download from. I know there's been a fair bit of kicking around with version names and the like over the last few days over on the slim devices forum, I wouldn't have thought that would effect the official version download but you never know.

wget seemed to have a problem, so i downloaded the file manually. Looks like a firewall issue on my network. All installed nicely now - thanks!

Mmm, it was fetching the file from the official download pages. Might need to make some changes to that, then.

I think it was just me.

I tried wget on the joggler from the URL on the official page, and it didn't work, yet it did when i pasted same link into browser.

I think my firewall settings were blocking it somehow.
