manually install older version of LMS

I just discoverd the joggler as a SBT alternative. Everything works okay, I use PNP III with the latest Squeezeplay (january 2014). The LMS running on the server (named 'atom') is 7.8.

Now my question is: how can I manually (I presume using putty, then logging in with joggler / joggler) downgrade to an older LMS version like 7.7.3? Or any other version that I like/prefer?

Why downgrade? 7.8 has a lot of bug-fixes and enhancements.

May be so. I'like the freedom to choose. I've another server on a Raspberry that has another version. Every time I switch from Pi to Joggle all devices go crazy and want to re-install etc.

Now another person may say: well, then upgrade the Pi to 7.8. Right. Still working on that.

So anybody knows how to do the downgrade?

If you want to use LMS on the Joggler I'd suggest using Roobarbs SqueezeplayOS instead of PNP.

Once you do then changing LMS version is as simple as downloading a DEB file and using dpkg -i at the command line. Although SqPOS comes with a built in installer for 7.7.x anyway.

ETA I've just had a quick scan of the PNP3 thread, it looks like the latest version was an update to LMS 7.8 only and the previous version of PNP with 7.7 is still available.

Sorry! I must update the thread for PnP. Current version has 7.8 as in changelog and I've removed older versions. Sorry for confusion.
