I need to create a Andriod Preload Image for 3.6GB Usb

Post by kaiserc »

Hello Guys Great Forum,
Really please that we have Andriod running well.
I'm now at a point where I need help. :?

My Current usb says its a 4GB but it actually has 3.5GB.
Could some one create a Andriod Preload Image of 3.5GB size in the same way as the original located here
http://www.jogglerwiki.com/wiki/Android_Prebuild_Image

Failing that - I'm usless at linux , can you give me instructions of how to do this on a win 7 machine.

I got all the way to the point where i had the new Android 2.2.2 Mijuu Build 1.2.3 working on my machine but I could see or store to the SD card.
So I had the start again and from then on my usb says it can write the original Andriod Prebuild. God know s how it worked in the first place. This is after clearding all partitions from the USB.

Any Advice or Pointers, please.
I would greatly appreciate it If some one could do this for me. :D

Windows can't handle the ext filesystem. Which Android needs to run.

I would suggest creating a gparted livecd or a liveusb and boot your computer from these. Once you have this sorted PM me your email address and I can talk you through how to make the partitions on your usb drive.
The other option is to buy a larger drive ie 8gb and once you worked gparted out you can resize any usb image to fit.
On mijuu's website there were some files that were called easy usb install which I think you just copied onto the usb drive over the top of the basic android files and somehow it created the partitions for you. This could be worth playing around with.
Lastly creating another image takes time and uploading the image somewhere safe also takes time. It is certainly do able, but better in the long run if you learn how to use a gparted disc.
