Backup help

Post by kim57 »

I've got my joggler running pnp3 and I think it's excellent, also added the control to increase the line level output volume, Master playback to range from 0 31, now just right into the kitchen reciever connected to a LMS thats used in my home (old laptop with large h'drive running vortexbox which will sleep and be woken by by the joggler) thanks for your work.
I've checked the wiki and tried the backup,...managed to boot joggler from a ubuntu 8 gig stick but I coudn't find how to add the extra 4gig partion to the stick. The wiki has lost the page 'additional FAT32 partition in the remaining space (quicker and easier)' any pointers, again thanks, Kim

You could utilize GParted and format the remaining space to a fat32 parition or....

....just boot up the Ubuntu stick on a hub and put a second fat32 partitioned stick in the hub and do a DD to the second fat32 USB stick instead.

Thanks, booted into gparted expanded stick as you suggested. Booted joogler with stick and eventually managed to type in terminal and appeared to go OK. Thanks again
