It's occurred to me a while ago that we don't have any proper backup or repo of Joggler / OpenFrame firmware that we can all get our hands on in case of disaster. I always resisted doing anything like this, as I doubt we'd ever get the official nod from OpenPeak, but seeing as we're already hosting the v30291 OpenFrame OS as a reflash tool here (which was reasonably officially supplied) and we're linked to by O2 themselves, the time seems right to pull things together a little.
So, I've put together a collection of EFI and MMC images from both the OpenFrame 1 (Joggler) and OpenFrame 2 which I hope can be used to keep these devices running without scrabbling around all over the place for potentially iffy firmware. I'm quite happy if BuZz would prefer these moved to this site as a more official central resource, but for the time being I've put them here:
http://birdslikewires.co.uk/download/op ... /firmware/
Obviously, if I get shouted at by OpenPeak, then they're going to go away - I have no desire to get litigious. But because I think they made a great series of devices, and I'd prefer that as many were kept running as possible, I think this would be helpful.
Filenames are in the format <model>_<contents>_<company>, so of1_efi_o2.img is the O2 branded EFI for the Joggler. The only contents I'll upload are those which have been tested on devices I own, and everything will have an accompanying MD5. The MMC images are gzipped and can be used directly with the Reflashing Tool to write them. A future version may well add the ability to write EFI files too, although this is incredibly dangerous, particularly for the OpenFrame 2 which has a soldered EFI chip.
This doesn't mean I guarantee any of it will work on your device! Especially the EFI firmware! But it might.
I still have a little more to add, but it's there for those that might need it.

Any update on Reflash tool, updating EFI files?
Re: Firmware
Not had any time, I'm afraid - I've put it on the list though, so I don't forget!

It's been a way off the radar recently, I'm afraid. Still planning on doing it, though.jazzman7411 wrote:Roobarb!,

In the meantime, you could try using one of BuZz's distros - they have EFI drivers for that chip built in already. If your damaged Joggler won't boot anything, this method may be a better way to go, as I wasn't planning on implementing a hot-swap option into the Reflash Tool anyway.
Although, actually, that would be a pretty cool feature...
