Hi can anyone tell me what im doing wrong?
I load up Ubuntu - think im using joggler.exotica.org.uk/ubuntu version.
Enter the terminal
follow the instructions by typing the lines into the terminal.
but i dont find any way to locate the 'splash' term in the code the he mentions?
I tried to open the grub file itself in the file explorer, but it seems to open in Read Only and I cant save a copy and replace it.
Can anyone give an idiots guide of how to do this?
Cant seem to edit file to set throttle
Re: Cant seem to edit file to set throttle
What you can do is open up a terminal from the Applications->Accessories menu, then type
'sudo gedit /boot/grub.cfg'
That way you open it in a txt editor with the ability to save yr changes, hope that helps.

you can also stick the usb stick into a windows machine and access the first fat32 partition and edit it from there which is easy enough.
