All things XBMC on the Joggler

XBMC seems to pop up all over the threads but not often on its own so here goes a new thread


With the release of Xbmc for Android I had a look on the main XBMC site and picked up this little snippet

"There is also the issue of having a proper UI for small-screen devices. Typically,
XBMC skins have been designed for use on a TV, so use on a small phone can
be clunky. But there is nothing keeping skinners from creating more functional
touch-oriented skins, like the included “Touched” skin from Jezz_X. With the
community’s help, we’re sure to have a more refined version available for
inclusion by the time we release a stable version."

Exciting times ahead for us XBMC addicts I think .
The touched skin above is looking great and now with a port aimed directly at Android there should be some interesting stuff on the way that should work fine with Joli , Ubuntu ,Mint ,XP etc.

Just installed the skin from this thread. http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=84175 on to xbmc on mint on my Joggler
it is a Joggler specific skin by a skinner called djtoll and very good it looks too ;
looks like he has some nice recent changes/updates to the skin as well so another one for us to try out ...

Just having a play with the Joggler skin from djtoll from the post above and I am well chuffed
There is so much packed in to this skin : I was listening to Astral Week's by Van Morrison and saw the artist slideshow button on the main screen ,when you hit it you get a nice little slideshow of whoever you are listening to .
Another button says cassette and you get the cogs on a cassette tape spinning together with the artist name ,track etc in on a C90 in biro ...love it looks very classy .
Haven't tried video /movies yet but that's next on the list .
A lot of work has gone in to this skin , lots of nice wallpapers and very slick to use .
