A quick question. Has anybody successfully extended the cables from the motherboard to the screen? I presume that they are LVDS, backlight power and USB for the touch screen. I know having them too long will result in signal degradation, but was hoping to get away with an extension of about 6 inches.
Thanks in advance
Extending the LVDS cable
Re: Extending the LVDS cable
Not heard of anyone doing this, although somebody did replace the Joggler's screen with a larger one (1024x768, I think), which would have involved working on the cabling. Quite a straightforward job, IIRC, but I can't remember where I read it!

Seen some pix over on the hi-pda forums before - they have a Joggler section:

it's all Chinese but if you are using Chrome/Chromium it will translate (roughly) enough to get the idea anyway..

Re: Extending the LVDS cable
Thanks for the replies. Looks like it is time to get busy with the soldering iron. I'll let you know if it still works after surgery.
