I have a couple of jogglers here both running BuZz's Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS, and neither lasts more than a couple of days without the wifi connection going down. /var/log/syslog shows:
No it's not pre set , but very easy to do and reaps big rewards for little effort even if it doesn't cure the problem . http://jwills.co.uk/joggler-xubuntu/instructions/
Try it and see if it sorts it for you
Good luck
Thanks - I've just rebooted with the edited grub.cfg, so now to wait and see...
I really thought I'd read through BuZz's page before, without noticing that bit! He has totally changed the layout since I last looked, though, so possibly a bit of editing has taken place too.
Yeah I just noticed BuZz's revamped site too looking good .
Some people are taking out the wireless card, booting the os off the internal port it was in and putting in a new bought one in the side port .
I find the stock wireless card pretty iffy although others have no issues .
My Joggler in the kitchen used to drop out when the microwave was switched on ( it is on top of it tho)
Might be the microwave to blame mind , wondered why the cat had grown a second head ......
Wow - I didn't realise they'd got so small! That's tempting.
Naive question: would that work plugged into the hub? And when you commented earlier about running the OS off the internal USB port, do you mean there's enough internal space (and ventilation) for a memory stick?
I've plugged in a hub into the internal port. I cut the plug of original wifi card of and soldered longer wire to it, it's now plugged in in the hub and working fine.
My other Joggler runs OS via hub-in-internal-port..
