Yeah, due to some WAF; worked on (didn't finish) replacing the kitchen faucet today.
I have to purchase a new tool (I do a lot of that for DIY stuff at home. )
I did originally tell my wife it would take 5 minutes to put in the new faucet. lol.

Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised
Dan, This happened to you while you were just walking around in London? I'm wondering what's the matter with folks? I personally enjoyed walking around London; I would get up early for work and make a 10 minute walk 45 minutes just to explore; never saw an issue. I would do the same at night when wa...

Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised
I tried the Patriot "Supersonic Xpress" 8Gb stick. It has some weird lags in RW to. An older Kingston DataTraveler G3 runs a bit better. I did order a 16 Gb SSD/USB drive. They have come down in price. They are a bit bigger than the average USB stick.

Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised
BTW relating to modification of the image. Easy to do. I expanded my NTFS partiton to 8Gb using GParted. You can utilize a number of Wintel applications to do the same. Once expanded; just save out the EFI directory; remove it and change remove the boot flag. You should then be able to see the parti...

Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised
The configured EFI boot is the older one which works with the USB hubs. Its still at 3XXMb of memory but a 5XXMb of a paging file that works. The RW on this one is slower; especially with the USB hub. The real fast boot up EFI is under the directory in the EFI partition called FAST. This one has 496...

Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised
Attached is most current 4Gb image. This one has three configurations for EFI. The set up one is slower but works with the hub. The fast one is included but does not allow booting with a hub (from my testing). The video drivers are located in the EFI partition subdirectory called drivers and the spe...

Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised
Great news photize! I remember not too long ago partying for the Queen's Day in Amsterdam. Great place and party! The WiFi thing is more of an application issue than a WiFi issue. It does the same running in Android or Ubuntu. I tried playing some HD stuff locally and the Joggler did fine. mickchip,...

You could too just make it a UPNP player with the Linux front end to your NAS.

Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised
Reinstalled the newer Intel video drivers (from Sept, 20011); rebooted.
I also re-installed the Intel drivers; rebooted.
It looks like doing this re-aligned the screen as it fits now with no black bar on the bottom.

Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised
Installed the development Intel video drivers (built into the development package). to see if I see any differences. Two parts defined. Video drivers and video utilities. The video drivers come up differently now in the control panel / system / Display adapter piece. Just rebooted though; not sure w...

Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised
WLAN interface has been working well. I have an application though that doesn't do to well with WLAN in general as it generates a lot of back and forth stuff with the "mothership" server; so the preference here is still to utilize the built in NIC; then maybe later put an SSD USB drive ins...

Warm there. Here's its starting to cool off.
Yes I enjoyed the snow there in London a couple of years back; my preference was to walk to work rather than to take the tube or take the green cabs. So I did.

Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised
Thanks Dan. I didn't know that. I changed the MAC address on the built in NIC such that it survives a reboot. Same thing happening as before though. When I plug in a network cable the Joggler locks up. I didn't take about the Joggler last night. Feel asleep early. Moved plants inside from outside de...

Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised
Photize, Increase the Fat partition to say 250 Mb. This way you can keep all of the EFI setups. You can save that partition easily as its very small. Using a linux box or a Wintel box; remove that partion such that you can see the NTFS partition and play with that. I do that using the Linux box; gpa...

Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised
I'm playing with that last 4Gb upload; driver wise. Will test it again and will upload it such that you can boot it via a USB hub. I have numerous USB keyboards/mouse - will plug them all in such that the drivers load for that image. Dan has posted a modified EFI such that the speeds are much greate...

I wonder if the firmware of the Ethernet device could be modified such that we could change the MAC there?

Re: release: jogglerxp foshiz edition (image up)plus revised
Mick, Have you tried the newest EFI boot? Its really quick with a base Ram of 496Mb and a dynamic paging file of around 750Mb. Almost ready for prime time. Did you solder the Pata port? Dan saids that using the PATA interface to boot windows would be difficult and a whole different endeavor than the...
