Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

Hang on! Does the above process mean that those of us who don't have the palindrom patch adding Modeltype be affected when a new API key is issued? Just asking' ! There is no new API key used. The patch just using a long implemented feature. If you are using the 7.9 nightly LMS you will see the dev...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

If you like to change your joggler into an Access Point for your LAN this might help you: This is to address the "lotsa squeezeplayos jogglers with the same hardware id" issue, right? Do not forget to change MYSSID and MYPASSWORD to your liking. Sorry for my ignorance but, if i had several jogglers...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

That's likely because you're using exFAT. You need good old vanilla FAT, but I think Windows may force you down the exFAT route. The GPartEd Live CD will see you right. Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

Lovely, I've managed to come up with what appears to be a reasonably robust method of getting a predictable MAC address for the internal card. It should work something like this (wrapped as code, in case you'd like to skip the details!): ... Basically, reset your network settings if you change your...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

Just pushed v1.59 of SqueezePlay. Now includes a simplified (as in, there's no UI!) version of palindrom's JogglerUpdateModel applet. Your devices should automatically identify themselves as OpenFrame1 or OpenFrame2 devices. Ah, are those icons for the OpenFrame devices still around anywhere? They ...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

Option 2 But, I've never used anything but wifi, and still found foreign' macs in mysb.com account ..... Snap!. Option 2 for me too please. I have just upgraded one of my SQ OS v2 jogglers to V3 and I again got a warning when registering at squeezebox that the mac address was already in use by some...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

If anything, I'd suggest the default squeezeplay name be Jogglerplay. I have a variety of squeezeplay setups (eg. a windows one, at the moment) and it's always better to assign a unique name otherwise it can get very confusing. I totally agree "it's always better to assign a unique name". Just keep...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

To be honest, I've been considering making the mysqueezebox.com option vanish from SqueezePlay altogether ; it's never really worked and the only way to hook up to it even vaguely reliably is to use LMS. It's still a bit chicken-and-egg with the first setup if you don't already have LMS installed s...

Re: SqueezePlay OS - Version 4??

Background: I am a bit frustrated that Squeezeplay does not play WMA files natively due to licensing issues. Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

So what do you mean by 'essential for applets? It's just a picture. no? The "picture" is just an example. If you do not miss this feature, you obviously do not need it (But it won't harm you anyway). Sorry, but you stlll haven't explained 'essential'. If it's not essential, then you shouldn't imply...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

I'll have a look at this too. To be honest I feel this is something it should handle automatically... I'll see if I can tie it in somewhere. That would be my preferred solution too. The applet is just my workaround. Please consider only to change the Player Type (=model) not the Player Model (=mode...

What does this mean?

The nightly build of LMS supports showing the Player Type.<br />Where all versions use it to display the according Player Image.

Re: SqueezePlay OS (V3) - joggler brightness and strange pla

Told you it was a quick and dirty fix. The backlight will still come on full, but only for a second - it will then dim to the correct level. I've managed to figure out this backlight bug now. Turned out not to be a fault in the kernel, but with Xserver - it turns out that many people have had simil...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (V3) - joggler brightness and strange pla

Thanks for the suggestion, palindrom. Unfortunately, I am running my joggler w/ unplugged WiFi (I use that internal port for my USB drive), so this won't work. Would you be able to provide a sqp_JogglerNetwork.sh file, where I can just manually update the MAC address in the file? Or point me to the...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

I vote for option 2 :) Its exactly the same behavior my SB Touch and SB Radio have: JFYI: LMS uses the MAC Address to identify the Player (player ID). Re: SqueezePlay OS (V3) - joggler brightness and strange pla

Another thing I want to mention: Since updating to v300, strange Players populate my http://www.mysqueezebox.com account: 'kitchen', 'lounge' and others and a huge bunch (10+) of 'squeezeplayer' - all of them set to the UK timezone. I deleted most of them from my account, but 'lounge' is still conn...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

I checked with my SqueezePlay OS Joggler(s). I can not see any unwanted trans-coding.
Kindle provide additional details (Bitrate/Samplerate of the file and new Bitrate/Samplerate).
Are you using the internal DAC of the Joggler or an USB Stick?
