Re: Updating SqueezeplayOS

Some further thoughts If you want to keep it on the internal ram then I think Ralphy's Squeezeplay is the way to go. I use an external usb stick or sd card in a reader for testing out the procedure. I don't expand the card size, so that is always comparable to the Internal ram so far I have it worki...

Re: Updating SqueezeplayOS

From some old notes Originally posted by chill View Post - The 'Quit' option on the Jivelite home screen dumps you out of Jivelite, and in my case leaves a terminal screen with some messy video artefacts along the bottom third of the screen. I think that option should be changed to restart JiveLite,...

Re: Updating SqueezeplayOS

@sixedup I normally install Jivelite using xserver, but here is a procedure I have just completed, without xserver, it gives jivelite, autostart at reboot using a cronjob, no cursor and calibration is out a bit. but workable. This brings the size to Debian GNU/Linux comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY...

Re: Debian Bookworm for OpenFrame

No album art from either local files or streaming radio stations That's usually a library thing, did you get art on the previous incarnation out of the box? Image conversion libraries (in fact, as many libraries as possible) aren't included by default so people have a little space to work with on t...

Re: Debian Bookworm for OpenFrame

I now have a fresh install and running Ralphy's Squeezeplay

It's all a bit slow to load (as was my previous post) but runs OK

No album art from either local files or streaming radio stations

Start up using a @reboot Cronjob

I seem to have a default USA keyboard :o

Re: Debian Bookworm for OpenFrame

I have been playing with this for some time

https://forums.slimdevices.com/forum/us ... e-melodeon

With varying success :(

It builds in the 32 bit, so I might have another player later in the year ;)

Re: Debian Bookworm for OpenFrame

Thanks Boss :) I have been playing with the Release Candidates for a while. Apparently there will be a point release in a month or; it was pushed out with over a 100 bugs still to be squashed! :shock: Anyway, I had already built the Binaries for LMS, so here is O2 Joggler running LMS v8.4.0, Squeeze...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

@jkn

It reports 44.1 PCM which reminded me that this is the default. :roll:

It also reminded me tha @gegs recommended changing the default rate

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

@jkn

I just changed the output to "external", connected a ToneBoard Dac via usb, rebooted the joggler and music plays through the dac.

I guess it's at 96kHz ma

I'll try another dac which reports the input bit rate

Re: Debian Bullseye for OpenFrame

Thanks for being supportive Pete, I'll look at those links over the weekend. My aim is to install Jivelite; I'm not bothered about Squeezeplay, maybe LMS also (I have the 32bit binaries). This is a snap of the error message if roobarb! gets time to look into the problem. The joggler just goes into a...
