I'm messing around with my old Aigo P8860 and now I have to dig out the Wilcomm D4 . . .

I hate to ask, but have you tried your stick on another PC and ran a chkdsk or something like that ?? It looks to be something simple, ie not too many files missing and no registry corruptions.

danfoshizzle wrote:drive errors still persistent even after your tinkering mevi?

from the pic seems squeezplay is the culprit, will check my side also, but when rewriting a few hours ago i received no errors.
This looks a lot like the errors I was seeing yesterday on the same partition with the same files.

This is as far as it's going, the auto script is showing in the background then a USB Mass Storage device pops up behind the Inscribe keyboard.

Re: FFXP My New XP release (link in first post finally!!)

Dan, I've added the output from chkdsk for both partitions here. The program autostarted, but I think everything hung as I left it for 15 minutes . . .

I only ran it in read-only for the txt files, in fix it recovered 4 orphan files on the EFI partition and a few on the main partition.

Re: FFXP My New XP release (link in first post finally!!)

The 2 dll's were already there when adding them, and I'm still having some partition errors with chkdsk on both partitions, missing files etc. with the one I've downloaded on Hotfile. I've tried a couple of different machines, 7-zip / WinRAR extract etc. I have a red X (monitor driver ??) in the bot...

Re: FFXP My New XP release (link in first post finally!!)

Yep I had the same problem, switched to WDI ver 0.0.3 and managed to write the IMG, but I think there's some corruption in the Dropbox IMG. I'm 75% through the Hotfile version so will post back how I get on later

Re: FFXP My New XP release (link in first post finally!!)

Has anyone managed to write out the image from the Dropbox location OK ?? I've tried converting it using Starwind, however each time I mount the VHD I get errors on both partitions / found (it requests running Scandisk). WinDiskImager won't start due to an error with the IMG. I get no errors when ex...

Re: BUILD 2 - Windows XP Professional SP3 (Plus Tablet PC)

Thanks, jpearn. I'm glad you like it. I'm really pleased with how it runs on a hdd, so when my Kingspec 16GB arrives (faster read and write than the 8GB, so said the spec sheet) I'll be a happy man. It's been over 4 weeks since I bought them......... Zzzzzzzzz. Tough to say whether drivers from tha...

Re: BUILD 2 - Windows XP Professional SP3 (Plus Tablet PC)

Just a thought, I used to have a Vaip P laptop which ran the Poubslo / Atom Z520 chipset, would any of the drivers from that work with the Joggler ? I used to spend a lot of time at Pocketables when I had various micro devices so there's lots of info. / driver mods there (it's where I 1st came acros...

I used to use Flashfire on my Aigo Mid for the 4GB SSD, worked well. He also wrote a newer version OpenFlashFire, which I think has been discontinued, but still around on the net
