Hmm. Would probably be as much as a complete one off eBay!

Joggler screen(s) needed

Hey everyone. Does anyone have one or two Joggler screens from faulty Joggers kicking around? one of my 8 Jogglers is suffering from an almost unreadable screen and one has failed completely. It's definitely the screens, as verified by swapping with known good ones. Anyone got one or two to sell and...

I've just done the same thing setting up a new Joggler networked photoframe :o...

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Or usually in my case, when it comes to tech: If it ain't broke, tinker with it anyway...break it...spend hours looking for a 1 minute fix...repeat!

FIXED: Podcasts through SqueezeplayOS via LMS on ReadyNAS

Posting mainly as a point of reference for myself should the following scenario happen again and in case anyone else is having podcast issues. So, I'm still running the classic SqueezeplayOS here on a Joggler (which I might update if I can guarantee complete blackout when the screen is off!). These...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

I've avoided updating my two Squeezeplay-only Jogglers to the later base OS due to comments that the "backlight fully off" screensaver wasn't working properly [...] the backlight glow in a dark bedroom was a bit of a show-stopper for me. Spent a while yesterday playing with Squeezeplay on...

Re: BBC Microcomputers

Used the BBCs at school as a kid in the 80s before an Acorn Archimedes arrived in 1990. Remarkably there was still a BBC in use in a classroom at the school where I started teaching in 2001!

At home we had any Acorn Electron. Did this make me more or less middle class than BBC users?

Re: SqueezePlay for OpenFrame

Hmm, I'm running the updated version here, but still experiencing the 'back to full brightness' bug. Might have to try it on a different unit. (Bizarrely, a few days before I did this, the previous version completely 'fixed' itself (100% issue disappeared and backlight turned off completely when scr...

Re: SqueezePlay for OpenFrame

Hi everyone. Still Joggling and grateful that so are others. Couple of questions re. Squeezeplay which I installed on a fresh Bionic USB stick running on a classic Joggler last night: Am I being really dim re. sound setup (very likely at the moment) as I cannot get headphones to work without the spe...

Re. The menu order, it's the menuData.cookie file references in the first post of this thread which sets the order, so back it up somewhere (e.g using WinSCP) and then restore it if needed.

Re: Alter install script PnP III v3.60 to exclude games?

You can edit the XML file which shows the applications, either removing or commenting out the apps you don't want. There are two. I'm not near my archive at the moment so I couldn't tell you exactly, but I thinks there's an applications.XML and another one somewhere - tango/GUI ? I used to know this...

Re: PnP III v3.50: Enhance the standard OS - DOWNLOAD HERE!

Thanks for everyone's contributions enabling people to keep using PnP III. I may even summon up the enthusiasm to incorporate the update fix into PnP III (thanks to jkn et al for sorting this for folks). It may have been covered earlier, but I have monitored the one PnP III Joggler I still run (in a...
