Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 2) for OpenFrame

Roobarb, thanks for the replacement reply! Exactly the info I needed, I hadn't appreciated I would be able to recreate a partition on the usb after installing Squeezeplay OS. That means in theory I can install onto a big ext usb drive set it all up, create a partition and load on all my music. Hopef...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 2) for OpenFrame

Slightly late to the party here but hopefully someone can answer a simple few questions! I'm currently running (after a lot of trial and error way back on this forum) Roobarb's squeezeplayer on a version of Buzz's JoliOS on a partition of an external usb drive. Logitech media server is also running ...

Re: Ubuntu+squeezeserver+Squeezeplay - plea for an idiots gu

Buzz, Thanks, Xubuntu will be fine. However, if no-one else is worried about Joli maybe I will just stick with it and try and get the samba share working properly. I notice in another thread that you have been on the case with the Joli developers and that they seem to be doing the right things so pe...

Re: Ubuntu+squeezeserver+Squeezeplay - plea for an idiots gu

I'm back. Looking at the list I wrote last year, here is an update..... -sort out ip address to login as :9000 from laptop I did this by trial and error 192.168.0.x:9000 where x is a number between 1 and 9, found it in the end. -figure out how to set up fat32 partition as samba share so I can copy n...

Re: Joggler wont boot from internal MMC Drive

Interesting thread for me. Different combinations seem to work for different people. Yet to find the exact combination that works for me though! Managed to delete partitions in gparted , Create ome partition and successfully reflash with Roobarb's software, O2 os booted and ran fine - Once! After t...

Re: Joggler wont boot from internal MMC Drive

Interesting thread for me. Different combinations seem to work for different people. I've got as far as deleting the partitions in Gparted but have been trying to reflash (Roobarb and O2) etc without creating the new single partition. Perhaps this is the answer! Thanks to everyome above for sharing,...

Re: PnP III: Enhance the standard OS - Download & details he

Just a quick query on Pnp MkIII, My joggler is currently stuck at o2 logo on boot - though it will run Joli etc from USB. The Reflash from Roobarb completes but it never actually reboots into the O2 OS. Should the PnP MkIII install boot from USB if the original O2 image has not successfully boot its...

Re: Reflashing Tool for the O2 Joggler

So the last time my joggler died I.e stuck on O2 screen there was no way the reflashing tool would bring it back to life ,I tried different usb sticks etc and it went through the whole boot reflash process right to the end but still no good! Eventually I got it going with the Openpeak tool . Last n...

Re: PnP III for pre/post OpenPeak update Jogglers - Get it h

Hi, Just wanted to say a big thanks to offbeatdave for the great work that has gone into this. Having got telnet access back on my updated joggler I was able to run the PNPIII script and get a working machine back. My main need is a Squeezebox server and LMS works brilliantly - it fully indexed aro...

Re: PnP Mk II - Here it is!

When I booted up the Joggler without network access I found that I could not use Squeezeplay even though the server was on the same device. If anyone is interested in turning their Joggler into a "portable" dukebox (sans network access) you just need to allocate a specific ip address to l...

Re: Joli - broadband usage?

Er, probably very stupid question.... Does Joli and or Squeezeplay need an internet connection to work? That is, if I turn off the wifi should squeezeplay and mediaserver still function when running off the one joggler (mp3s on local harddrive not streaming). Mine isn't, wonder if squeezeplay or med...

Re: Joli - broadband usage?

Its a Sky package. Don't remember it being so low when we signed up. Wonder if they have changed the t+c's on us?

Anyway, glad its not Joli soaking up Gb in the background.

Thanks.

Joli - broadband usage?

I'm using Joli to run squeezeserver, I know Joli is cloud based but if I'm only using it for that purpose how much internet activity should I expect?
I have a 2gb limit and overran it last month for 1st time.

Cheers

Re: viewing squeezeserver settings on Blackberry

There was a way to do this...
http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/BlackBerry
By adding /handheld to the end of http://<joggler ip address>:9000

But this is not included in current logitechmedia server. :o(

Re: What other hardware can i run squeezeplay on?

Yes you can sync them so they all play the same thing, controlled by one of them. Like a cheap version of a Sonos Multiroom system. I have two them them with usb soundcards and the sync is perfect. Max, would it be obvious to me once I had two squeezeplayers how to make them play in sync? Do you ne...

Re: Ubuntu+squeezeserver+Squeezeplay - plea for an idiots gu

I'm with you on the user interface of LMS on the joggler, not friendly. Are you managing to create a playlist in squeezeplay and then have it saved so you can revisit and use it later? I do remember some issue about the permissions required to do this being fixed by the fstab entry mounting the dri...

Re: What other hardware can i run squeezeplay on?

Gegs, always seems to be me asking you questions!
Just re-read the above, when you say syncronise do you mean press play on both at the same time, or are you able to have both playing and controlled from the same source?

Cheers

Re: Write an ISO image to USB Hard Disk

guys, Quick question, I've been trying to install Xubuntu to a WD500 GB drive, using the flash-swap method, and alas it simply wont boot.. The joggler just hangs at the O2 logo.. Any ideas? I've tried deleting all partitions and reformatting to no avail... Asantaga, just seen your post above, if th...

Re: O2: Updating O2 Joggler on 30th April

So credit to O2 for remembering that they used to sell Jogglers and that some people might still have them in use!

I assume that if you now normally boot a ubuntu type image from usb that this update will not have any effect?
