The new version with the updated asound.conf is working great, thanks for the update Roobarb.
One last small issue (I'll not bother you again after this!)... is there a way to reduce the volume of the sound effects even further? I've tried setting the volume to minimum, but they are still too loud.

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)
I'm also experiencing the chipmunk audio issue now though - where is the location of the asound.conf file when running SqueezePlay on Ubuntu (V11.10)? Ok I've found the asound.conf file at /etc/asound.conf. I was sure using a previous SqueezePlay version that I needed to modify the file at /opt/squ...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)
Thanks for the latest release roobarb. I don't know exactly what you've changed, but it has fixed the problem I had with various streams crashing SqueezePlay :) I'm also experiencing the chipmunk audio issue now though - where is the location of the asound.conf file when running SqueezePlay on Ubunt...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)
When in the Ubuntu desktop long press acts as right-click. Could this be interfering with the functionality of SqueezePlay? Yes, that's exactly what's happening. In /etc/X11 there's a config file that sets up that behaviour. Lose that and reboot (or maybe just change the timeout) and you should be ...

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.
How would I go about disabling long press for right-click within Ubuntu? I predominantly use my Joggler for SqueezePlay, and this behaviour prevents the context menu's from appearing. roobarb! has informed me that he believes a config file within /etc/X11 determines this, but I've not been able to f...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)
With SqueezePlay (1.32) running on Ubuntu 11.10 (Btrfs) I can no longer access the context menu's (Hide from Home Menu, Save to Favorites etc.) by long pressing. When running this version of SqueezePlay on the stock OS the long press for context menu works fine. When in the Ubuntu desktop long press...

Ahh, ok. When I use "Web Control" from LMS, I can see that the actual URL of the stream I was playing is: http://opml.radiotime.com/Tune.ashx?id=s17077&formats=aac,ogg,mp3,wmpro,wma,wmvoice&partnerId=16&serial=7897e4bbc826d502a51655b7dc6f7717 File format: MP3 Bitrate: 32kpbs C...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)
I think it should already be logging to /var/log/squeezeplay.log. If it isn't, just do the same thing, but direct the output (with >) to a writable location (eg. the joggler home directory). Ok, I've just tried playing the following stream... Title: talkSPORT URL: http://opml.radiotime.com/Tune.ash...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)
Is there a log file on the Joggler that may be written to with the error? If so, let me know and I'll recreate the problem and post that here. Now, I think on the O2 OS you'd need to enable logging by including a '> /media/log/SqueezePlay.log' after the './jive' command in /media/opt/squeezeplay/bi...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)
After suffering from stuttering playback with certain streams (mainly the iPlayer streams - using the Triode plugin) on the native OS I decided to give Ubuntu a try. I've installed Ubuntu 11.10 (Btrfs) with the latest version of Squeezeplay (1.32). I've been impressed with this setup, and on the who...

Re: Boost Native Joggler Volume
Is anyone successfully using a USB sound card with a USB hub? I'm thinking this would be the best of both worlds - I'll get the improved sound and the sound card will be hidden behind the joggler.

Re: Boost Native Joggler Volume
Thanks for your response. I'm still feeling torn on what to do... I use my Joggler primarily for music (SqueezePlay), so a USB sound card seems like a good solution. Although I don't really want an ugly USB device sticking out of the side of my Joggler (as I keep it in the lounge, and also use it as...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)
Many thanks roobarb, I've modified the asound.conf file on both of my Jogglers, and they've both ran for 2 days flawlessly.
Will this file be overwritten when I next update SqueezePlay?

Boost Native Joggler Volume
I'm running SqueezePlay on the native Joggler OS and am interested in finding if the audio volume can be increased in a config setting? Even with the Joggler volume and the SqueezePlay volume at maximum it is still too quiet. When using Ubuntu the audio is output much louder, but I do prefer using t...

Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Standalone Native and Ubuntu)
I've recently installed the birdslikewires SqueezePlay software (Version 1.31 (7.7.1-9561)) on the Native Joggler OS. This is working superb, apart from one issue... After turning off SqueezePlay (using the power button icon in the top-left) and leaving for an idle period (overnight) the next time I...
