Re: SqueezeOS access point
Ok, I updated the sources list with the following lines and I can now update. (I think I was in Australia when I built the current pendrive and now I'm in Italy - does that make any difference?) #------------------------------------------------------------------------------# # OFFICIAL UBUNTU REPOS ...

Re: SqueezeOS access point
Thanks, but I don't think that's what was happening here. I did a fresh install and now I can run the bash script, but I can't do an update or install hostapt or bridge-utils. Spent about a day on this so far, with no success. root@openframe:/home/joggler# apt-get -y update Err http://ubuntu.datahop...

SqueezeOS access point
I'm having trouble setting up an access point on my SqueezeOS Joggler. I've followed the instructions on this page http://www.jogglerwiki.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2119&start=160 , but no luck. I keep getting a syntax error when I run the Bash script. joggler@openframe2:~$ sudo /opt/sque...

Re: Two Jogglers over VPN identify as one.
Thanks for that but it didn't seem to work. What did work though was restoring the LMS server at the remote site, (i.e. local subnet for the two jogglers) allowing the joggler to find that, then... registering the remote server on the joggler via the aforementioned menu. BTW, I'd set off installing ...

Re: Two Jogglers over VPN identify as one.
Ok, I'm taking a different approach, but I need some advice. The good unit was built at the main server site (it found the server immediately) whereas the difficult unit was built at the remote site. I had quite a bit of difficulty getting it to register to the server and in the end had to build a l...

Not familiar with LMS, although I am using Cisco routers. An RV042G and an RV082 at either end with a VPN.
I can RDC, FTP and most things across the VPN. MS filesharing is a little more difficult, but i know that's down to MS firewall settings.

Thanks for replies, The MAC addresses are different, as for hostname, here's the output of both files: /etc/hosts 127.0.0.1 localhost 127.0.1.1 openframe # The following lines are desirable for IPv6 capable hosts ::1 localhost ip6-localhost ip6-loopback fe00::0 ip6-localnet ff00::0 ip6-mcastprefix f...

Two Jogglers over VPN identify as one.
I have two Jogglers running SqueezePlay OS over a VPN back to my main server. Unfortunately they identify as the same unit and sound only plays out of one. In more detail, one unit works as expected, browsing back to the main server on another subnet via VPN. The second unit identifies as the first ...

Hi Denise,
I'm just around the corner in Battersea, I'd be happy to buy it.
PM me for details if you like.

Re: IP Camera on the Joggler?
I've formatted my usb stick using image writer and the blank image, and put the torrent link into bittorrent, but there don't seem to be any seeders.
I've searched around and can't find a copy of the image anywhere else.

Re: IP Camera on the Joggler?
From what I can tell, it uses JS. Here's the code: <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript"> function Init() { if ((navigator.appName != "Netscape") && (navigator.userAgent.indexOf('Opera') == "-1")) { window.setInterval("ShowFrameRate()", 1000) } } function Show...

Re: IP Camera on the Joggler?
I'm assuming your using the stock os on the Joggler or Plug & Pimp, and that is why you have Opera ? Yes, I bought three of these with Plug & Pimp already installed. Opera supports Java script, but if your camera needs full Java, then that will need to be installed as well on the Joggler an...

Re: IP Camera on the Joggler?
Well just for laughs, I had a go at playing with Stephen Ford's Ubuntu Netbook on a pen drive. It has a very slick interface and I managed to get it working with wireless but not wired. It was fun, but not suitable for me. The screen is just too small for me to be practical with touch. It doesn't ha...

Re: IP Camera on the Joggler?
It doesn't appear to be an issue with the Joggler seeing the camera, just the capabilities you have through Opera. This could be due to the security settings in Opera and what software your camera depends on (flash, java script etc) It has two sub pages, one for ActiveX and another for Java. I'm us...

IP Camera on the Joggler?
Has anyone managed to get an IP camera working on the Joggler? I have a Dlink DCS-900 IP camera which woks fine to my desktop pc, but I can't get to display a picture or moving images on the Joggler. The Dlink has a fixed IP which I can navigate to successfully using Opera on the Joggler, but it jus...

Re: Streaming video from UPnP Server
Thanks for the tip, but after days of looking, I can't find iplayer.cgi (I'm using the find command)
BTW I didn't install iplayer, I bough the unit with it already loaded or should I say BBC Live loaded, not iplayer.

Re: Streaming video from UPnP Server
I think I might have given the wrong impression, it's not usable. It plays for a minute then drops to black and takes up to ten seconds before restarting, sometimes on a different channel (actually it goes back to the first channel in the list). I tried tying up the receiver cards by simultaneously ...

Re: Streaming video from UPnP Server
Miraculously this is now working, albeit with stutter. The only thing I can think of is that since I last tried, I updated Squeezeplay to the latest version from birdlikewires; though why this should have an effect on a separate program is beyond me. I can now stream live and recorded video (in .ts ...

Re: Streaming video from UPnP Server
Hi Mevi, The codecs are ok. It's the container (or wrapper) it doesn't seem to be able to open. I transcoded the files with ffmpeg using -vcodec copy and -acodec copy so the video and audio streams therein are exactly the same ones; just copied to a different wrapper. I tried some SD recordings with...
