Re: Debian Buster for OpenFrame
What's the state of hardware support on Buster? is the GMA500 fully supported for hardware acceleration? Toying with building a minimal desktop environment to launch VLC and transcode on the fly a hdmi video source (already have a hdmi over ip device that directs a transport stream to an IP address)...

Re: Telstra OpenPeak Joggler / DECT handset woes
I'm afraid I'm seeing the same issue reported by sanjap - it won't proceed past the 'downloading updates' and does not error out as you suggested. Any ideas?

Re: Telstra OpenPeak Joggler / DECT handset woes
Hi Pete,
Thanks for posting these. I will try it out this evening. I noticed the EFI rom and the first image (Test) mode were the same link. Would you recommend the test mode image, or should I stick with the factory eMMC image posted below this?
Thank you
James

Re: Telstra OpenPeak Joggler / DECT handset woes
I think the EFI is intact, as whilst I could not get completely into the reflasher, I got far enough that it must have been past EFI and onto the USB, it just failed to boot completely. I'll try and rewrite the reflasher to USB and see if this perhaps got damaged. I look forward to having a play wit...

Re: Telstra OpenPeak Joggler / DECT handset woes
I didnt manage to find a suitable EFI file to overwrite so unless the reflasher also took care of Efi, this is as standard. I looked for a suitable Efi file to write based on it being 1mb in size, but o couldn't find one through my searching. I'll give some further time to this today and hopefully g...

Re: Telstra OpenPeak Joggler / DECT handset woes
Tried the Cisco firmware via the reflasher usb stick but now can't get past the OpenPeak splash screen :( I noticed the firmware was labelled of2 indicating it was meant for the Openframe 2. I'm not sure my Telstra device would be considered as that, it looks just like a joggler and doesn't have the...

Telstra OpenPeak Joggler / DECT handset woes
You might recall some time ago I bit the bullet and ordered one of these interesting looking contraptions. It's taken me this long to find the time to power it up and have a play. I'm stumped. I've tried to enable telnet, enable SSH via the documented methods that work oh so well on the O2 jogglers,...

Re: **BUILD 3 - Windows XP Professional SP3 (Plus Tablet PC)
Here I had tried XPe way back and didn't like it for whatever reasons. Tried it again and like it now. I have redone the booting such that all you see is an Openpeak logo when it boots. This will not work for the USB booting XP configuration. It is made for the ZIF connected PATA SSD drive. I use t...

Re: **BUILD 3 - Windows XP Professional SP3 (Plus Tablet PC)
Bored here decided to revisit an XPe build for the Joggler that I tried a few years back. Tweaked it a bit and its working well with the SSD PATA drive. Redid all of the booting and stuff on it. Not sure if anybody is interested in it. Relating to using XP it is much less wear and tear on the SSD d...

Re: Joggler KitKat 4.4.2 beta (24/3/14)
Re this Android image. It works first time I boot, but every time I shut down or power the joggler down, it will not boot it again. Sticks on the animated 'android' boot screen. Tried 2 diff usb sticks and different ways to shutdown (using 'power off' option, using sync/shutdown in cli), still no j...

Re: Joggler KitKat 4.4.2 beta (24/3/14)
All you need to do is flash it. I will give you a quick warning however that this will only work on a stock Joggler (ie running Openpeak / o2 OS). I scratched my head for days as I couldn't get it to boot successfully, and it turned out it was because the bootloader in SqueezePlay OS was interfering...

Can confirm play store definitely works, root I'm not so sure about, but I think I saw SuperUser as an app when I last used it.

Re: Home automation - writing apps for Joggler
I'd say using PHP and Shell_Exec might be the way forward, then you can host a web page locally that references a PHP script, relaying the command.
See http://php.net/manual/en/function.shell-exec.php

Re: Home automation - writing apps for Joggler
Hi Mike, Great to see another LightwaveRF user out there! I had little success on stock OS, but had a semi-working setup installing Windows XP to the Joggler, there are some open source .net DLLs for integrating with the WiFi link. You might also find you'd do well to run android and install one of ...

So, it arrived today, finally.
Can anyone recommend a way of getting SSH / telnet access? Do you think PNP III would work on this kind of device?

Re: Telstra Openpeak Prototype DECT
Were you able to change the SIP server the stock operating system connected to?
Was it simple to gain SSH access?
Thanks,
James
