Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
Couple of points: Unless you login as root (using the new new password) you have to run the install command: sudo dpkg -i [downloaded lms filename] Be sure you have WinSCP installed for the next step! I suggest you don't login as root. Just use sudo. You might even throw "sudo" in .profil...

Come one, this all basic stuff. I suggest you carefully read Roobarb's opening post and the links to his dedicated pages on his website. And read a basic Linux tutorial.hawsey wrote:How to you log in as root please , what do you type ?

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame
I also had problems with SqPOS v3.03 and wireless access to LMS, wired network was fine. Fixed by updating (SSH to Joggler) and type: sudo apt-get clean sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade Now wireless works fine :-) Sorry for quoting this old post but... are we allowed to upgrade the Ubuntu p...

Re: Network configuration applet for squeezeplay
Didn't realize untill today that my question has been answered. I just entered all commands without issues (except for renaming the directory "cowboy-coders-squeezeplay-wicd-frontend-xxxxx" to match current) and will let you know the outcome as soon as I'm able to touch my Joggler. Thank y...

Re: Network configuration applet for squeezeplay
My Joggler with SqueezeplayOS needs 73 new packages (12.9MB of archives, 76.9MB of additional disk space will be used) when I call sudo apt-get install wicd-daemon See details below. joggler@joggler:/opt/squeezeplay$ sudo apt-get install wicd-daemon Reading package lists... Re: SqueezePlay OS for Joggler
I have SqueezePlay OS running for more than two weeks now and I love it. It never let me down.
I would like to know if the hidden SSID issue is being checked (see post http://www.jogglerwiki.com/forum/viewto ... 320#p12749).
Thank you.

Re: SqueezePlay OS for Joggler
I'm experimenting wIth Joggler OS and so AR, so good... But the top left hand corner "back" button refuses to work. I don't think this a hardware problem. Makes getting to the settings a bit awkward! Anyone experienced this? EDIT: I now think this IS a hardware problem... Anyone experienc...

Re: SqueezePlay OS for Joggler
@jemhayward: Changing .conf files (or any other non binary file) is best by logon in via telnet or ssh using a Windows program called PuTTY. When logged on to your Joggler use the vi editor on the Joggler to edit the file. The command is: vi pathtofile/astound.conf See for more editing details an on...

Re: SqueezePlay OS for Joggler
What is going on? Have you got the wired connection hooked up at the same time? Because it won't like that. I just reflashed with SqueezePlay OS v1.07 using Reflashing Tool System v1.09 succesfully. After pulling out the wired connection I rebooted the machine by replugging the current. Entering la...

Have you got the wired connection hooked up at the same time? Because it won't like that. Yes, I have. I recall not having a connection with my squeezeboxserver with only wlan active. The reason I connected the wire... Currently it is reflashing the machine again (with wire). I will try again after...

Re: SqueezePlay OS for Joggler
Since installation of SPOS I cannot get a ip address on the wlan0 interface. With native O2 OS together with PnP software I had no issues at all. Always a succesfull wireless connection. My router hasn't changed, nothing did, except the software on the Joggler. Here's some output: joggler@joggler:/v...

Re: SqueezePlay OS for Joggler
Had trouble connecting my Squeezeplay OS to WPA2 and AES encrypted wireless router. SSID broadcast disabled. I did the following (from http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1798927) Add your network information to wpa supplicant configuration file: joggler@joggler:~$ sudo su root@joggler:/home/jo...

Re: Squeezeplay Only
Don't know about running Squeezeplay under Ubuntu but native O2 OS with Squeezeplay runs stable. I use my Joggler for 99% Squeezeplay. I have been using squeezeplayer from P'n'P. Occasionally my button clicks (the sound) were lost. Currently I'm using a more up to date version of Squeezplay, from bi...

Re: Joli OS for the O2 Joggler
the code should work. I wouldn't use the usb creator, as that will be something specific to creating official versions, and they won't boot on the joggler. There are websites with guides on writing images on osx http://meinit.nl/writing-directly-to-a-usb-disk-in-os-x Nomatter how many times I try, ...
