Re: SqueezePlay for OpenFrame

Looked like the same brightness when it came back. Certainly did not go back to 100% on return.
However, I was running .84 on another Joggler and that seemed to behave like I now see in .85

Re: SqueezePlay for OpenFrame

With 3.16.85 - now that it is dark outside I can see that the screen backlight is not being switched off (have configured screen/when stopped to be Off & Backlight to Automatic).
If I press the on-screen power button (top left) then it does turn off the backlight.

Re: SqueezePlay for OpenFrame

I was running 84 prior to this without a problem.

Before I reimaged I had a quick poke around the logs and saw wpa_supplicant reporting an issue with "line 12".
I should have taken a photograph of the screen.
Anyway - now that I think I have a way to repeat it I can study it a bit more.

Re: SqueezePlay for OpenFrame

Update - I reimaged and this time did not personalise the network.yaml file ... and now it gets Ethernet IP address.

Re: SqueezePlay for OpenFrame

I just copied 3.16.85 to USB stick (and put the WiFi details in) and booted a Joggler with it.
It boots but is not picking up network interfaces (WiFi or Ethernet)
ifconfig only lists loopback.

Re: 2 Jogglers for sale . One working one not.

I'll take them at that price having missed out on a couple on eBay that each went for 13-18-ish
If London area then could arrange a pick up (if OK with you).

2 Jogglers for sale . One working one not.

Which country (and if UK, roughly where) are you (they) in (to help estimate postage cost)?

Re: SqueezePlay for OpenFrame

and we are back ... and I have the NowPlaying views again mount /dev/sda2 on / type ext2 (rw,noatime,errors=remount-ro) Maybe automatically running fsck on boot could be worth doing. In the end it might only be hiding a problem but might still be OK for a simple appliance that can be rewritten in ev...

Re: SqueezePlay for OpenFrame

One thing I have noticed as missing (because I use it on the old SQPOS) is the "Display Standby" function in Settings/Screen
I usually set this to 60 mins so that the screen goes off during a long listening session knowing that a quick tap brings it back.

Re: SqueezePlay for OpenFrame

From the outside it looks like a Joggler ... but the back has embossed Openpeak and the sticky label says Openpeak not and for the model number (on the sticker) it says OPENFRAMEBS rather than AO2JOGXN. edit: I have the handset as well ... I tried to get that handset to mate with my local DECT base ...

Re: SqueezePlay for OpenFrame

Possible issue ... I suspect that the MAC address is saved rather than being calculated each time ... with the consequence that when I took a USB stick from one Joggler and ran it in another the MAC address went with it. I can see that this could be useful since LMS uses the claimed MAC address to a...

Re: SqueezePlay for OpenFrame

Hmm. So what do your working /home/squezeplay/.asoundrc and/or /etc/asound.conf contain? I've killed that installation and am running on a different Joggler now (but from same USB stick and cables and amp) ... and it is behaving better. So perhaps there is a hardware problem lurking in the other on...

Re: SqueezePlay for OpenFrame

Update ... looks like mounting as read-only is what it does when a bad error happens. So I have started again from scratch. I suspect that the corruption happened when I pulled a 3.5mm jack out of the socket in the back ... nasty screeching sound and screen overwritten with stuff (maybe a mammoth me...
