Joggler as a wireless bridge?
Hi, I've been using the joggler as a wireless bridge using both the windows xp and joli os images which has been great but after a while they tend to not work so well, quite often because I will power off the joggler accidentally. While putting pnpIII on my joggler I thought it may be possible to ha...

I don't suppose anyone could tell me how to, if possible, shave some megabytes from this image to fit on a 4gb usb stick?

Re: Joggler take apart and CPU recooling endeavor
Mark, Never utilized a Joggler in the Car. One documented Joggler person did give it a go around 2008-9? Its documented on the mp3car dot site. Personally started with Via Epia 1Ghz analog to analog TV tuner inputs (E46). I used a serial then USB IBus interface which mapped out the HU GPS radio kno...

Re: Joggler take apart and CPU recooling endeavor
Roobarb, Did you leave the back off of the Joggler and mount the motherboard to the LCD? A passive thin cpu heatsink would work even better than a fan. Mark, Relating to the CarPC endeavor been updating the CPU's to Atom D525's (from older VIA and first gen Atom CPU) and adding a rear camera to eac...

Re: Joggler take apart and CPU recooling endeavor
Great idea markeh! I might take apart the speakers and put fans in their place keeping the rest intact somewhat.. From what I remember fans that size don't match the speaker size perfectly so the existing screw holes won't align but that's not a big deal. Let me know how it goes I might eventually ...

Re: Joggler take apart and CPU recooling endeavor
I was meaning to do something about cooling a while back, I bought a couple of 40mm fans thinking I could mount one or both in place of the little speakers. Haven't got round to it, not really sure how I'd power it either. I only have 1 joggler so not that keen on taking a soldering iron to it.

Re: Joggler eye candy
Thanks, dps5pt! Good to hear you're getting use out of XP. :) This is a great looking skin and I think it adds an up to date shine to XP. I think I'll stick this on one of my always-on Jogglers. I haven't been on this forum in a while but I've been using the XP build by yourself or perhaps dan? (ca...

Re: Bootable USB sticks/Cards
Yea I found it a bit picky at times, especially with hubs. 8b sandisk cruzer worked for me 16gb cheapo from 7dayshop is what's running on it at the minute wouldn't work with micro sd to usb adaptor Before giving up on anything if you're using a hub, try different ports on it. Strangely my belkin hub...

Apologies for going off topic a little, but the first post mentioned installing ubuntu to the internal flash? Can this be done? Is there a guide anywhere?

Re: In car power supply?
Curious if you are able to run the Joggler off of the 3 AMP universal PS. I would assume it would be better to maybe drive it with a 5 AMP or similiar to the OpenPeak power supply DC-DC transformer. I have a small Shuttle net top which has a 30 watt PS and never really gets warm. The Asus netbook I...

Re: Windows Server 2003 so far
Is there any carpc software that would be suitable for this? Someone mentioned centralfuse on the XP thread and that it wasn't a good fit for the joggler.

Re: release: xp on joggler foshiz edition (image up)
how long is it taking to boot up roughly?
slightly off topic, but not worth starting a new topic - can anyone remember the name of that android app that was like a dodgy version of the android market where everything was free?
*** applanet, found it
