Hope you all had a good xmas (Considering the current problems) - Will be a quiet new year for most in the UK I think.

Thanks! Same to you - I've not really used by Jogglers much in recent years, but thanks for keeping software up to date etc.

Re: Forum / Site updates

I also pruned all accounts with no posts. There were lots of spam accounts and I wanted to clean the database a bit.

Love the BBC Micro. Got a couple in the loft (Including a Master) - I really should dust one off. Was one of the first computers I programmed on. Will check your twitter out thanks!

Re: Forum / Site updates

Both the forum software and the wiki have been updated to the latest versions. The Wiki now has the mediawiki VisualEditor enabled for easier editing (Not that it's even used but) :-)

Hope everyone is well.

Forum signup issue

Probably due to phpbb captcha changes with the last update, but our google recaptcha keys were wrong for the type of recaptcha we were using, so signup was broken. I have updated the keys now, so spam may increase, as signup was not possible before.

Re: Forum Updated again

I have updated the forum software to the latest version. One of the extensions needs attention, so it's disabled for now - the extension moves the profiles from the right to the left - so you may notice the layout is slightly different. I will look into this when I next have some free time. thanks.

Forum / Site updates

I have updated to the latest phpBB3. I have also enabled an additional anti spam extension that uses the http://stopforumspam.com/ which may help with spam registrations.

Re: Joli OS and Linux Mint search continues .

I still have the chroot filesystems used to build the images. I don't think I have the images anymore but technically they could be regenerated - I'm a little short on time however.

Re: Spam PMs

I just removed a user now - apologies for the Spam. Spam is just very high at the moment in general, but I will look at additional anti spam measures and see if I can put some limits on PMs.

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.

kodi 17.6 is unlikely to work without code changes at least with acceleration as it relies on a newer api. With newer Ubuntu you still need to use an ancient X server. There are also audio switching issue with the later kernels. I just don't have the time to put into it and it's not worth it imho. t...

Re: Ubuntu / Xubuntu for the O2 Joggler.

I looked into it, but it requires code changes to work with our ancient vaapi library. I don't know if I am that interested in sorting it, at least not currently. I have a lot on. Also the Joggler is pretty old now, and I cannot support it with updates forever.

It's unrelated to the Joggler Xubuntu - I don't have time to offer general linux advice sorry.

Re: Forum updated

It's possible the latest plugin is just incompatible with your older version. Unfortunately isn't much I can do about that. Test the latest version out on a tablet and see if it works.
