Re: SqueezePlay for Joggler (Native, Ubuntu & SQPOS)

By using the same usb stick image in another joggler, the mac address is carried acros? I think this is the most likely answer, this behaviour has been noted by others when using cloned sd cards on raspberry pi. I seem to remember that roobarb had a fix for the MAC spoofing problem in the last rele...

Re: What apps still work on Joggler?

Add the following repo URL to the "additopnal rerspitories" at the bttom of the Settings/Plugins page and then click "Apply" http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/bpaplugins/betarelease-repo.xml Once added - you should get 2 entries at bottom of page for BBCiplayer 1.5.* and BBCiPlayerExtra in a...

Re: Back with LMS and still confused!

I can't help regarding the Joggler name problem, it might be a networking glitch. When I have had the same name twice it is mostly the Old library getting listed along with the new library. Just choosing one and trying to play something normally sorts the problem. With regard to the Joggler that won...

Re: Back with LMS and still confused!

Jim I have just spent ten minutes typing a reply and lost it before posting. So I'll be brief, especially as you find it all tedious. Just start again. If you are asked a question in the command line [Y/n] use the correct case in your answer. If you don't want to be asked a question [Y/n] just inser...

OK, I really should read the whole post before doing anything, but... Amen to that  ;) :) Remember that I have twice said, that if the LMS does not install, Joggler@openframe:~$ sudo apt-get remove logitechmediaserver Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state informa...

Re: Back with LMS and still confused!

OK, I ran into a limited space issue when dpkg ing the .deb file. It seems I do have Lame and libio already installed. Is there anything I can delete in order to allow this operation to complete? I would much rather have the LMS etc. internal. My set up is a little different in that I have the Upda...

Re: Back with LMS and still confused!

So we will assume that there is enough room, first we have to update the Joggler. You might have already done this, I don't know. SSH into the Joggler and type sudo sed -i.bak 's/ubuntu.datahop.net/archive.ubuntu.com/g' /etc/apt/sources.list Then sudo apt-get update if not already installed this you...

Re: Back with LMS and still confused!

Well, I have to ask again, is the Squeezeplay OS/LMS on an internal or external source.

I keep asking because it is a matter of space for the download which is determined by the room available.

Re: Back with LMS and still confused!

Just checked my ChromeCastAudio with the Android Spotify app and it plays fine, switches tracks without a problem. I'm a premium subscriber, although I believe that it is now possible to stream the free version (read this somewhere on a forum, so can't confirm it). Maybe you just need an update or t...

Re: Back with LMS and still confused!

@ jim_lewis1 Version 7.8.0 is four years old and not supported any more. There was a 7.8.1 which fixed the bugs. There is a 7.9.0 that is 1 year old. All the work is being done on v.7.9.1. The Squeezeplay on the Joggler is also old and requires a bit of hacking to bring it up to speed but I have in...

Re: Ubuntu Bionic (Base System)

That's really great news! Thanks loads for keeping the Jogglers alive and healthy. Probably way too early to say for sure, but any idea of storage footprint? Any chance of being able to run Squeezeplay + LMS on the Internal flash of an O2 Joggler for example, or has everything stayed pretty much th...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

philippe_44 on the SlimDevices forum has done plugins for AirPlay bridge, ChromeCast bridge, and UPnP/DNLA bridge.

If you don't do a LMS, I'm guessing we'll be able to do a straight forward install of the .deb package anyway, won't we?

Re: Reflash System for OpenFrame

Hi, I'm trying to flash the Openframe 'of1_30300_openpeak.img.gz' but on 2 different usb keys I get to [Initrd,addr=0x1795c000, size=0x434a3e] and nothing happens. I've checked that the md5's all align so I can't think a corrupt file is the issue. Don't suppose you have any ideas please ? I have of...

Re: SqueezePlay OS (Version 3) for OpenFrame

Hi roobarb! nice to see you posting, Hope you are all well and have moved on from Farley's finest. With regard to LMS there is now a smaller .deb package. The v.7.9.1 nightlies have been pretty stable, only needing updating with regard to the new Spotty and Radio Paradise (flac) plugins, which M Her...
