Cheers. It was only about 4 quid on ebay, so not worth sending back. Don't worry about doing an updated image (unless it's very quick!), it's a useful learning experience for me to fix it myself. I haven't tried yet, but looks like I can probably use "btrfsctl" to shrink the FS by a few MB...
