Re: IP Camera monitoring on Win 10 Joggler

It didn't display anything for the device type, so it's probably not fully compatible with the Hikvision batch configuration tool or just needs to be updated (it's running the original FW). However, I'm not going to risk updating the firmware at the moment. I think I paid around $35 US when purchase...

Re: IP Camera monitoring on Win 10 Joggler

Thanks, I'll check out the client demo. However, it is a bit pointless if the settings are deleted on the next reboot, as one of my modules does crash occasionally. I guess that's why the restart timer is enabled by default. Restart Timer.png Do you normally turn off the restart timer? I normally bu...

Re: IP Camera monitoring on Win 10 Joggler

The hikvision batch configuration tool seems to work fine on the 3516D module, no problems. I've never used this tool before as I didn't think it was compatible. It's no custom firmware, but it's actually pretty good. Thanks I've also tried it with the Hisilicon Hi3518E module but it wouldn't connec...

Re: IP Camera monitoring on Win 10 Joggler

There is no telnet service running on that port. That's the OSPF routing protocol. For example, you would get the same response if you tried to telnet into the RTSP port 554. On some of the cheap 4MP IP cam modules port 23 is open. The fact that Telnet port 23 is closed on your hikvision camera is a...

Re: IP Camera monitoring on Win 10 Joggler

Are you sure the telnet port is open? Verify it with a nmap scan, as on some of the modules I've tested I do get a login prompt. In the past I've done a few projects using AT commands in hyperterminal. Sometimes, you don't get a prompt in this instance however, you can still type in the commands and...

Re: IP Camera monitoring on Win 10 Joggler

It's interesting we are all into the same things. I do like Hikvision, They're well built and the software is decent. I have a Hikvision AHD DVR which also works as a NVR for IP cameras, dual purpose, so I can add a doorbell camera later on. At the moment I just have a 4K TVI camera with 6mm lens fo...

Re: IP Camera monitoring on Win 10 Joggler

I already had an existing analogue CCTV system in place from the days when I used Zoneminder, so I decided to upgrade each camera to 5MP AHD recently and replace the DVR, rather than go down the IP route. Works fine and I can access the RTSP streams via VLC player and I have the whole system locked ...

Re: PnP III v3.60 July 2017 Update

The BBC iplayer and iPlayer Extra plugins via squeezeplay work fine, even for the catch-up radio. On the first page, I have included some instructions to update the plugin to the latest version which supports the DASH streaming method adopted by the BBC. Thanks for the info keynet. You could also in...

Re: PnP III v3.60 July 2017 Update

I'm not sure tbh. Maybe Tango is caching or scanning the drive in the background? It could also be from where the CIFS share is mounted. When you use the gui the share is mounted from /etc/init.d/boot.d/S57boot.cifs Try and put the CIFS mounting in /etc/init.d/boot.d/S99boot.hacks under starthacks()...

Re: PnP III v3.60 July 2017 Update

You can get a plugin for AirPlay via squeezeplay on PNP3. There is an official one and some 3rd party ones that are better supported. I don't have an iPhone so have no way of testing it, but have a look at the logitech squeezebox site http://forums.slimdevices.com/forumdisplay.php?4-3rd-Party-Softwa...

Re: PnP III v3.60 July 2017 Update

Yes, it looks like that might be best. With earlier PNPIII releases I am sure I used to have 'Radio' come up at or near the top level of the Squeezeplay menu, but I cannot see it at the moment (cursory look only). Am I just being daft, or is there a plugin I need to install etc.? That's my fault, s...

Re: PnP III v3.60 July 2017 Update

You are spot on. I've just realised what I've done  I uploaded it correct initially. I was then trying to update perl.tgz to include the SSL extensions (too much work) and when I updated the zip file a few weels later to include a new user guide, I forgot to include the original perl.tgz Reall...

Re: PnP III v3.60 July 2017 Update

Thanks for this new image. I'm having some issues unfortunately... Perl seems to be missing from the path (missing from /usr/bin), so the LMS doesn't run. I went back to the stock Openpeak image, then reinstalled OffbeatDave's 3.5 and perl / LMS is there. I've done this a couple of times now. Have ...

Re: PnP III v3.60 July 2017 Update

Hi Jon N, I've tested the BBC streams and I get the same "connection failed" issue. However, when I tested the streams a few months back they all seemed to work fine. I'm using the MP3 BBC streams. For example BBC R4 is MP3 (mpga) 128kb/s, Capital FM Birmingham is also MP3 (mpga) 128kb/s and works f...

Re: PnP III v3.60 July 2017 Update

I've noticed on things like BBC bite size for my 7 year old some times they will have an " imbed this in to your own page " and some flash code . Would this likely work on a Joggler ? There are some good educational games on there . I've just had a quick look at this and most of the Flash based BBC...

If it was a popular website, chances are it will be in the archiv...

Re: PnP III v3.60 July 2017 Update

Good, glad it’s working fine. I've never seen so many jogglers in one place before :o I only have 3 and they are all running the new PNP3 The apps such as Engadget are based on a RSS flash widget for the now discontinued Sony Dash. Unfortunately the RSS URL is hard encoded in the source, so cannot b...

Re: PnP III v3.60 July 2017 Update

Hi, Please have a look at my earlier reply post detailing the steps to install PNP3 3.6 Flash the joggler with v30300, let it boot once, then turn off (don't configure Wi-Fi or plug in an Ethernet lead yet) and then flash PNP3 v3.6. Make sure your usb stick does not contain the "remove_for_new_insta...

Re: PnP III v3.60 July 2017 Update

The Mega and MediaFire links are fine and the latest version. This version of PNP3 only supports the Joggler, the openframe is not supported. Can you see any of the new apps such as Engadget, BBC News etc. ? If not, then PNP3 hasn't been installed. If they are present, but the old apps haven't been ...

Re: squeezeplay disappeared

I've created an update for PNP3 here viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2567

Added the call home fix, so no more missing icons :D Also updated the pure lounge radio streams, removed broken apps and installed a few new apps.

See the changelog for details
