Merry Christmas all!
Here waited (as usual) and in hyperdrive to "catch up" on the Christmas this and that...for whatever reason I am very late this year....

And a merry christmas to all from me too!! with extra thanks to those who have held my hand during my joggler education.
For the first time ever, i'm prepared early! Love a laugh so 'muppet christmas carol' and 'scrooged' are on the menu!

My wife and daughter watched "White Christmas" the other night (I fell asleep) and I'm sure we'll set time aside to watch "It's a Wonderful Life" at some point over the next couple of days. Every year we watch it and every year I'm amazed at just how great an actor James Stewart was and how irredeemably bad a screen villain Lionel Barrymore's Mr Potter character is.

No no no. Yes, james stewart is brillant but 'It's a wonderful life' is a depressing film! Seen it once and that was enough - never again. Good job you & i don't do christmas together!!

I thought the same thing when I saw "Scrooged". There are different ways to be depressing.

Ha! We'll never agree on this one. I know i'm in a minority but thats ok. I've spent much of my adult life swimming upstream.

That's OK! Agreement isn't a prerequisite for peaceful human co-existence, friendship or even marriage. The idiots that don't think so are the type that start wars.
I hope everyone on the forum has a great Christmas whatever films they watch, whether on a 50" plasma or using XBMC on the Joggler.

I am literally just enjoying the season / time for what it is; Christmas time.
I am on a self imposed sabbatical though and "turned off" reading "news" of any sort on the internet or watching live news on television.
I do though listen to the BBC (but not every day).

I'll be thinking of you all as I microwave my Christmas dinner for one!!
Seriously though, things are working out really well, all things considered. I just finished an interview to be a mentor for offenders with drug & alcohol problems.... and I start their training in January!!! I have another job interview in January to do some more drug & alcohol work with another organisation. I am cooking on gas.
Have a great Christmas, everyone!!!!

Although it's not really, this somehow seems like the first Jogglery Christmas. I guess a year ago there just weren't do many people to wish a Merry Chrimble to!
So, Merry Christmas to all!

It's not the quantity but the quality that matters.
Merry Christmas to you all and I hope nobody takes umbrage when I say especially to Mevi. It sounds like you've had a very bad year's end but I hope you have luck with the new job opportunities. It sounds like hard work but very rewarding.

Thanks, Gegs [has lump in throat]. Gonna be strange not celebrating Christmas with the kids. Really could have been worse, friends and family have rallied round to help me out. I was only 'homeless' for one night and that was more by choice as I didn't trust her not to start putting my things out on the street overnight!! Spending that night in the town, I was surprised how many people were sleeping in shop doorways.
Until I was made redundant, I worked in an alcohol unit for 4 years. It is very rewarding work.

It was very quiet and every bit as awful as you'd imagine. But i now have a new year and a new start to look forward to.

Yes, you do. I had a parent with alcohol issues so I'm rooting for your new job. Hope 2013 brings you happy times
...while I'm at it, happy new year to everyone.
